This thing works! I’ve stored guacamole up to five days. Might have gone further, but we finished the batch and I haven’t had the heart to “test to failure.” I also haven’t tested its capacity. Four medium avocados only fills it halfway.I do squeeze half a Mexican (Key) lime over the mix before compressing. It fills any cavities as you press down. I’m sure it enhances storage time and taste, but if unavailable to you, don’t worry about it.Those complaining about guacamole getting caught in the seal clearly didn’t read the directions. The seal is easily removable for cleaning. Replacing is easy if you line up the tab FIRST. Not a burden for a weekly task. If you’re making guac daily, you probably don’t need a storage solution.

How refreshing to find a product that actually does what it's supposed to do. There is a very slight learning curve in how to use it properly, but once you get used to it, it works like a charm. It really does form an airtight seal. I'm not really sure how long it will keep because guacamole never lasts very long in my house, but I can comfortably say it will stay fresh for at least one week and probably a good bit longer than that. When it comes to cleaning, it is imperative to take apart the lid and clean it thoroughly, but it is very easy to do and very easy to reassemble. Hand washing is recommended and that is what I do. I have not tried putting it in the dishwasher. This product is not just for guacamole; you can use it for Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Tuna Salad, etc. Overall, I'm happy with it and glad I bought it.

It's enormous. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the size. It would take the 2 pack of guac from Costco to fill this thing. I guess if you make your own, for a party, it would be fantastic. But it still works great, even when it's almost empty.

WOW!!! This container works. Don’t think twice. Buy it. DRan an experiment and after 4 days the guacamole was still fresh. Highly recommend

Hooray... Now I can eat avocados /guacamole for days.

I was quite excited by the good reviews. The design does allow the guacamole to remain green, so that part is great. I like the size, it is not too large since I make large quantities of guacamole. Unfortunately as you push the lid down into the guacamole some of it enters the space between the clear lid and the green rubber on the lid. The guacamole cannot be cleaned out of this space. I have tried a high intensity water sprayer to no avail. I can force a piece of dental floss between them, but that is not enough to bring the trapped guacamole back out of the space. Eventually mold forms in this space. It is necessary to press the lid down to force out the air, but that also allows seepage of guacamole into this space. In hindsight I should have put a loose piece of plastic wrap on top of the guacamole and THEN pressed the lid down. This might have kept that seeping guacamole out of the lid. I would like to try this solution, but not sure I want to spend the money to buy another one to test my theory. I did read about this problem in the reviews, but did not heed it sufficiently. My dilemma now is whether to toss the lid and keep the bowl. The bowl itself is nice and could be a plastic serving bowl, but it would be lidless.

A great product! It actually does what it’s intended to do: keeping my guacamole fresh & green! It lasted in the fridge 4-5 days as I ate a little bit every day. Highly recommend!!

This seemed great initially- my guacamole didn’t turn brown overnight for the first time ever.But the first time I used it and tried to remove the lid, it broke. The tiny rubber tab is extremely short and hard to get a grip on and when I finally did manage it the green and clear plastic parts of the lid cracked and broke apart.I don’t know if it works better or is easier to remove the lid if the container is almost full, as mine only had about an inch on the bottom, which probably made the tab harder to get a grip on and the lid was wedged further in, but the whole point of it is to keep the leftovers fresh so it should work well with any amount.Now it’s useless. Insanely expensive for something so poorly made.
