Had great strong stream and covered nest completely in foam. Tried hot Shot since then. Awful. Back to Ortho.

it was very effective at killing the hornets and their nests. The spray was able to reach the nests from a safe distance and quickly encapsulated them with its thick foam. The foam was so thick that it hung on vertical surfaces, nearly eliminating drips that can leave residue down the side of a house. The spray has a low odor compared to other cans and comes out clean without leaving any residue.However, I did notice that the spray doesn’t last very long. I would have had to use multiple cans to get rid of all the nests if I had more. Overall, I would recommend this product for its effectiveness but be prepared to use multiple cans if you have a lot of nests.

I ordered 3 cans because the wasps are creating nests around my property. It is spring and I am trying to get rid of them before they are too large. I found 8 nests about the size of 1/2 a softball. One can sprayed them all. I really saturated them in the evening when it was cool and the wasps should be in the nests. I waited 24 hours and knocked them down. No signs of living wasps. I put the nests in a garbage bag, sealed it with duct tape and stomped on the nests for good measure. I am now going into wasp deterence mode while monitoring for new nests. This product worked great. Other products I needed 1 can for 1 - 2 nests. This is a thick foam covering all the nests very well. I have 2 more cans just in case they return.I recommend this product fir effectiveness and great price

OK. This stuff is amazing for killing wasps that are within reach. In fact, when you spray it covers the next and the wasps actually start falling out.. dead. But for the claim "kills up to 20ft above ground"... unless you're standing on a 15ft ladder, or i got a defective can, that's a lie. But still. Works great within reach!!

I knew I had to turn to my fellow brothers and sisters of the Amazon world and find a product that could decisively regain my honor and dignity! I logged on, performed a search based on customer reviews, purchased, and in one day, it came! I read the instructions, armed myself, and mentally prepared to do battle! I stealthily approached making sure it was past 5pm when they are all chillin inactive in their hive gloating over all the discomfort they cause that day! I aimed and unleashed a glorious blast of streaming foam from 15 feet away! The foam rapidly and completely engulfed the whole entire hive! Encapsulating all it's gloating occupants and the hive! Only 2 of 100 escaped the wrath that I had just unleashed! I re-aimed and blast them again for good measure not worrying about the 2 that had escaped. Afterall, you must leave a few behind so they can past on the fear of the hell that they had just witnessed! There was no chance! Ortho's Home Defense Hornet & Wasp Killer had completely annihilated the invading horde! Taking away all their expectations of life, liberty, and the use of my lawn chair! I walked away with arms raised with the can of Ortho Home Defense Hornet & Wasp Killer high above and being totally satisfied in the performance and outcome of this product! If you ever find yourself under the same circumstances I was in, fear not, buy this magnificent product and regain dignity and use of your property in which we pay far too much property taxes on!!! Power to the people!!! LOL 😂 Ok, all drama aside, wasps, hornets, bees and much are needed and important to your world of nature. But, when they do nest and become a danger to people and pets, especially those who are allergic to their sting, this is the product to use to quickly take of things! Hope you guys enjoyed my over-dramatizing of my encounter! LOL 😂

The product works well when everything is operating as it should. I purchased a single bottle to try it out and it worked so well, I purchased 4 more. The second shipment had 1 defective bottle out of 4 where the spray mechanism was broken and would just ooze foam out of the top. The rest worked as it should. The product itself works as advertised. Coats the nests with a thick foam and seems to kill or disable the wasps on contact. Follow the instructions and spray in the early morning just before dawn or late at night when wasps are back at the nest and inactive. The spray is a narrow stream and can reach up to about 20 feet. It hit the tallest tip of my roof. Be aware that this product runs out fast if you like to coat a medium sized nest with a lot of foam. I needed a total of 5 bottles to treat around 10 medium sized and a handful of small sized nests all around the house and garage. WARNING, DO NOT stand directly under where you're spraying! Not only will you risk catching some of the mist back on yourself, the foam will drip down once you build up a good lather on the nest because, well, gravity!If you get a defective bottle (probably damaged in shipping as they don't wrap these in padding), Amazon live chat will take care of you. The automated refund/return system marks this as non-returnable so you'll have to go through an actual customer service rep.
