4+ years and still going
We purchased this unit in August of 2021 to help dry out our very humid basement. It is now April of 2025 and it's still going strong. We have attached a duct system to exhaust the dry warm air to the far side of the basement to allow a push-pull setup. Not only does it keep the basement at the desired levels, if we open the basement door a little bit it will also pull some of the humid air from the main floor. We don't have central ac, so this is a nice bonus on humid Maryland days.It runs year round 24/7. I replace the filters twice a year.My only negative is unrelated to the unit. But the spare filters I purchased all arrived damaged in some way and would not fit the unit. I made a filter assembly myself so that I can buy off the shelf filters. They are large to allow max airflow but also have a high MERV rating to keep the dehumidifier coils clean.I've only had once instance of iced coils, but I trusted the de-icing tech to do it's job. No complaints on it not working.I had anticipated buying another within 3 years. Knowing we'd never turn it off but it has help up perfectly. When it eventually dies I'll gladly buy another.

Worth the price! (Coming from a cheapo)
Crazy expensive in my opinion, but boy I don’t have to worry about a thing anymore!I kept buying dehumidifiers that would die and just didn’t seem like they were doing enough. This thing is a beast! It lives in my basement now and I don’t have to worry about a thing. It seems extremely well built, was easy to set up, sucks the humidity out of the air like a toddler sucks the fun out of a picnic, and it isn’t too big or too loud.Expensive, but worth it.

Easy to setup commercial Dehumidifier
Finally a dehumidifier that runs automatically all year without having to be emptied or cleaned. Plus it can handle my entire cellar. Included was a hose that is drained to my sink.I just attached the hose, plugged it in and it has kept my otherwise damp cellar at 40% for over a year. No issues.

Hmmmm.
This might be the classic you get what you pay for story. I don’t know yet. The unit isn’t even a month old and I have had one error code “U5” but haven’t seen it since. Their answer to it was the motherboard needs to be replaced and I just saw that answer today on their community forum.Next issue is it turns out it’s been stuck at 52% for weeks. I thought it just didn’t need to come on until I checked my humidity gauge in the same space and it was reading 59%. Nowhere near the 52% on the unit. So I checked it out and no buttons were responsive. I unplugged it and plugged it back in and now it is back running “normal” for now. In their community another person had a similar problem with the control panel locking up and their answer to her was exchange the unit. Do you know how much of a pain sending back a 45 pound brick is going to be? And how expensive that’s going to be? I don’t know who pays the freight if it does have to go back yet.Not sure what’s going to happen here yet but so far it’s turning into one of those classic Amazon stories. Does NOT happen often, where you buy something and think you saved lots of money and it’s working great - until it isn’t. Usually after you’ve left your review. So you go back to update it and Amazon won’t let you. Blah blah blah. You know the drill. (Usually you can update reviews to be completely fair…) Anyway you realize you got took, but it’s ok because it wasn’t very expensive. Problem here is this IS expensive.I’ll update after I talk to Alorair. I’m just being totally honest here and telling my story so far owning the unit for less than one month.

Awesome problem solving customer service...
Awesome problem solving customer service! After a year or so, my dehumidifier became erratic. A call, a clear headed person, a few questions, a short install video (could I follow it? Yes.) and a replacement control panel in the mail followed a few days later by an email asking if everything was now working correctly. Yes!I don't live in a perfect world. But when a manufacturer makes it easy and effective to fix a problem, they get my attention and repeat business.
