Amazing bike
I'll start by saying that it's my first e-bike. I'm extraordinarily surprised by this bike, small but compact, massive, powerful, but incredibly agile. Perfect for the cityIt seems everything pretty resistant such as:very good suspension plus the soft seat,Tyres looking like the best anti puncture onePerfect delivery, well packed, no damage. Wheel assembly is very easy with the included tools it's a matter of moments. Frankly, I was curious about the bike's riding qualities. Driving on thick tires is pleasant even in the off-road. The bike structure is firm and well handled

I’m 5ft 7 and it’s perfect!
Absolutely love this. Very easy to use although the seat does slip down a bit over bumps but it’s a very good electric bike. Heavy once folded up so not ideal for train transport but if you can leave it assembled on the train it’s perfect.

(Understandably) Heavy!
Can't remember the weight but this bike is heavy, deceivingly so as it's so compact. I dread to think what full-sized electric bikes are like.Charges relatively quickly, good battery life, takes around a minute to unfold.

solid
Sturdy and solid. The only drawback is the saddle arrangement. It takes superhuman strength to tighten the seat stem so that it does not go down at every bump in the road.

Very happy with my purchase! Love it! Only thing that lets it down is there is no back light

Ask for a test drive b4 U buy!
Hi everyone, I've an Engwe T14, here's a brutal but honest review: Overall the bike gets 4/10. Details: well, for all the good points or merits of this bike, this retailer and other retailers give you more than enough info and in fact in their enthusiasm couple of incorrect descriptions creep in. One example: there is no rear LED light, not an interface either, it's only a reflector! So I won't repeat the 'merits'. Here are the demerits that you won't find in retailers descriptions: BTW, it's designed in California and made in China. It's far too heavy for its size, 30-32 Kg (around 65lbs). V heavy to lift, not easy to just put in the boot of your car. It's because it is made of cheap IRON (not aluminium or any lighter alloy). Folding is very very fiddly, not easy and neither is unfolding, so don't be fooled. Then what on earth is the back seat designed for?? Totally useless and impracticable, should have been a carrier! The so-called LCD display screen only shows 3 tiny blue dots and nothing else. Should show distance and speed. Rider's Rt knee almost constantly hits the key switch no matter what the handle and seat settings are. Key switch should be on top of handle bar rather than under it. Battery itself is light but v fiddly to uninstall and re-install. Taking out: pull out power wire. Unlock with key and pull out. INSTALL: align, push down carefully, attach power wire, insert n turn key to lock. Why can't the electrodes be at the bottom of the battery so when its slotted in, it auto-connects to power. Also locking on sliding in should be auto. Owners manual is totally useless, eg, it doesn't even mention the Tyre pressure required. SHOCK ABSORBERS, the main reason I bought it for, are a good feature but only get 5/10 for their performance The batt power of 250W and max speed of 25kmph means it's road compliant in UK as a bike (doesn't need license, road tax etc). NOISE: On riding, there's a constant rattle from the box under the rear seat, very annoying. I couldn't do much about it, just bad designing and manufacturing! Also on braking, the discs make unacceptable scratchy noise. The bike stand is not effective, park it on the slightest forward slope and it will roll forwards!! It's not adjustable, so live with it. The handle is slightly wonky to the right and this is not adjustable, can't rotate it. The screw tool provided with it is so bad quality metal, it is completely un-usable. Slips, metal is soft n bends easily, etc. Bad paint job esp at joints. The max climbing gradient I could get is 5* (not 7-15). The seat cover is loose and secured under with staples, waiting to come loose. Overall looks are slightly plasticky/irony. In this day and age, all e-bikes, for safety and security reasons should come with a flashing back red light, back view mirrors and a basic lock. Folding small bikes like this should be in aluminium, the price may go up slightly. Will I recommend or buy again: yes BUT with all above corrections in designing! ASK FOR A TEST DRIVE. Sorry California, you only get 3/10 on this machine’s designing!! Hope above helps you improve.
