My husband tripped over the vacuum and crushed the bar that came with it so I found myself searching for a replacement and purchasing an item I didn’t even know could be replaced! This has worked well for our purposes and it looks almost identical to the original with the exception of not being printed with the vacuums name. Despite the fact that I will likely never know which vacuum I actually own again, this has completely fulfilled our needs and I was pleasantly surprised with the product.

fits on v8, nio problems

Not the same as a Dyson wand which is blue one in the attached photo. It is a bit narrower and electrical connector bulges inward causing a restriction for the dirt and hair to catch on when traveling to the waste bin. With dog, hair I have to unclog almost every time I use it. Also, don’t expect the red plastic clip to last more than 6 months (very flimsy). Replaced with a genuine Dyson which cost about the same. There is no bulge in the Dyson wand for waste and hair to catch on.

Wife loves the color and it fits perfectly on our V8 Absolute.

I need to edit this review……. Am no longer certain that this problem is all in the wand. I checked the head again yesterday and found two things…… one there is already a good sized tear on the hose where the part of the head moves around so much to allow for easy turns and if I hold still and just force the vacuum wand back and forth without actually moving the head just changing the angle the head stops working and the light goes out. So my rage against the wand may be at least partially misdirected.I think this is a warning that after market parts sometimes don’t work on Dyson . The first replacement head was wonderful for years. Then I started have this off/on problem, noticed how loose the wand was and ordered the wand. The problem continues. I gave up yesterday and bought a new Dyson. I still swear they are the best vacuums but may stay with actual Dyson parts from now on.Prior to edit-I bought this wand in December of 2024. A few weeks into it the brush drive and lights started turning off when the vacuum was lowered to allow it to go under a piece of furniture and then in a few more weeks the head started turning off when I just pushed the vacuum and pulled it back. I changed the battery and that had no effect . The head was only a few months old when this issue started. All I have to do is take my finger off the trigger and then restart it. But it gets maddening to have to do it 20-25 times in one session. The wand is loose and I believe it does not fully connect allowing for the power to the brush to stop over and over.

Our wand for the Dyson V8 was getting really nasty on the inside, I tried to clean it, but it's difficult. My wife decided that we needed to just replace the wand. This one is a good replacement. It works with all the accessories. Only issue is that it is a little tight to snap into place, and a little difficult to remove. It fits, but the size need to be fine tuned a little. It's probably because it's off brand and Dyson owns the patents. But for a replacement that is much cheaper than Dyson, this is great.

I broke the original one that came with the vacuums when using it and found this one on here. I was a little worried at first that it would not work as well but it has done great and it's even an upgrade I think from the factory because this one is metal where mine was plastic. Looks great and gets the job done!
