I bought these bell peppers to use in my cooking for the family. I have one picky eater who doesn't like bell peppers. Well, she apparently just doesn't like to know or see that they're in her food, because she's eating them.🙂 I buy these, I grind them into a powder form with my spice grinder, and I use them in various dishes. They're economical, easy to store, and they add lots of flavor to my dishes. Oh, and everybody, including my picky eater likes the dishes that I use them in.I have in the past also rehydrated them and cooked them just like fresh bell peppers. To make about 1/3 cup of bell peppers, just measure 1/4 cup into a bowl, add about 1/3 -1/2 cup of hot water into the bowl and let sit for 15-20 minutes to absorb the water and plump up. If there is a little water still in the bowl, you can either strain it off or just put it into your pot or pan and it will evaporate in the cooking process.

Put these in with any liquid/bouillon that I need for the recipe. The dehydrated peppers rehydrate in around 30 minutes & restore to good flavor. I use 2 Tbls. pepper in 1/4 cup of liquid to replace 1/2 to 1 bell pepper. Easy to store & ensures that I always have bell pepper on hand for so many recipes.

These were the best price per ounce peppers I could find. Huge bulk bag. The peppers smell wonderful and and bright in color.

I use these peppers in a lot more than just recipes that require cooking (soups, meatloaf, spaghetti sauce, sloppy joes, etc.). I also rehydrate these peppers in boiling water for about a 1/2 hour and then add them to cold potato salad, macaroni salad, egg salad and chicken salad; they also add a lot of appealing color and tastiness to chicken a la king (which can sometimes taste as bland as it looks), crab cakes and salmon cakes. Best of all, a dry level tablespoonful of this convenient and economical product is probably equal to a large fresh pepper. I don't know how many fresh peppers went into this 2-lb. bag, but Peter Piper must have picked his heart out!

Pricy, but otherwise good. Added some to my instant pho, and it was a tasty addition.

Fresh bell peppers are expensive and have a relatively short shelf life. For any recipe calling for chopped peppers, I cannot give this product too high a rating. They smell wonderful right out of the package and rehydrate quickly. Recommend.

I vacuum seal these peppers in pint size jars and add them to my pantry. They rehydrate very well in hot water or when added to cooking liquid. I also grind some up to add to my seasoning blends.Pepper's prices are too high to chance, waste. Dry foods are so convenient. These peppers smell like they are freshly picked.

Using this is my soups and working out great!
