An excellent deal on a perfect-fit product. I am amazed at how well this bulb matches previous one(s) I've used in my projector.More details: My Epson 8350 had a 5 year old bulb in it which went out with a (loud) bang. I was about to buy a 'real' Epson bulb for 4 times the cost of this, but figured I'd try this. If nothing else, it would tell me if the projector had been damaged when the previous bulb failed. Fortunately, the projector is fine and this COOBAN bulb is brighter than I remember the old one (a little bit), and more importantly the color temperature is exactly the same. I'm back in business :-)Also, the fan sound noise is the same as before. At one point I did detect a slight (barely audible) high-pitched periodic 'beep' at 1 second'ish intervals, hidden in the fan noise, but that seems to have gone away. I don't know if that was the projector or the bulb, but it's all better now. And I had some minor 'flickering' at one point. But I don't believe that flickering is due to this bulb. I recall previous bulb(s) had done that as well. FWIW, I fixed it by switching the projector to normal rather than eco mode. Heck - at 40 bucks, I can afford for this to burn out in a couple years rather than last 4 or 5 like the old replacement bulb that this replaces.So, in summary, this appears to be every bit as good as the original equipment lamp. Very happy I purchased this product. It's giving the amazing color and contrast that my Epson 8350 has for the last 10 years or so...

Epson 8350 was getting dim; this brought it back. Price is right

Purchased the last weekend in November of 2022. Seemingly worked fine, but noticed a high-pitched beep, that was at regular intervals, so assume it was some sort of error code. With about 50-60 hours of use, it stopped working and I have a 'replace lamp' error light on my projector. Even though it's be 6 months since installing (writing this as of June 10th, we use it infrequently, so I would've expected this product to last much longer than that. Disappointed to say the least between the beep and lack of durability.** Within a day or two of posting this review, Cooban customer service reached out. I was still within my fist 200 days of getting the product and the service representative offered to replace the lamp at no additional charge and with relatively no questions asked. I promptly received the replacement as promised and have just replaced the lamp. Everything is working. I still hear a faint, high pitched noise from the projector that is audible when the volume is down very low. I was hoping this noise would resolve with the replacement but that didn't happen. It is mildly annoying, but I'm willing to live with it for now.I only had 34 hours of use on the previous lamp, so we'll see how long this one lasts. I did replace the air filter, and cleaned the projector of dust. I also adhere to all best-practice suggestions for getting the most life out of the bulb, so I'll be curious if this replacement is better than the first Cooban lamp I purchased. My original lamp that was in the projector out of the box lasted almost 10 years and well beyond 300 hours of use, so even if this replacement lasts half of the life of the original lamp, I will be satisfied.I must note that the customer service was top-notch, attentive, and truly backed their product.

Excellent! 2nd purchase, last bulb was purchased May 2023 and had 2597 hours.

The picture is great and very easy to install. The glove included in the box is a nice touch. Easy to follow directions are included on the box as well. But this lamp makes an annoying noise that, once you hear it, is hard to tune out. It sounds like an electronic noise that changes pitches every second in 3 second intervals. If you turn the volume up high enough, you can drown it out. But this noise is the reason I didn't give it 5 stars. At lower volumes, it is distracting.UPDATE - Changing to 3 stars. After having this for about a month, the lighting from the lamp flickers every few minutes, changing the brightness of the picture. Any idea how I take advantage of the 200 day warranty?UPDATE- They shipped me a new one, seems to be working fine now.

At 100 hrs in, great bulb. Bright, no noise, no flicker, no issues.

The 1st bulb came and took awhile almost two weeks not their fault as it was the carrier. Not sure what happen during transit but the bulb did not work. Contact customer support and before I could select replace defective part they refund me the money. When I contact them again they decided that they will send me another one. This time it came in 2 days. I put the bulb in and it worked flawlessly. Basically pop the epson lid then 2 screws and the new one went in and afterwards it is like new. It's actually brighter better than the OEM that came with it. I did not expect customer service to be this great and awesome. They did not have to send me a free one but I'm not complaining. Just want them to know it was a great experience with them. 5 stars for them.

Received Aug 13, 2024...blew out Sept 15, 2024. Sorry slightly over a month. This is my second lamp Ihave purchased from Cooban with the 1st one lasting from 4/2023 to 8/2024 (16 months). Still not great considering I do not use it often, but 1 month is unacceptable. To provide some more context, the lamp I purchased prior to my first Cooban lasted from 6/2017 to 4/2023. That is what you would expect out of the product.follow up: Cooban was nice enough to reach out and send a replacement bulb. Installed today...will keep track of usage and see how long it lasts. I will gladly bump up the stars if it holds up.Thanks Cooban.
