This medicine has no taste or smell and Buster does not mind a tiny amount being in his food
I am not a veterinarian so I do not have any comment now about how effective this medicine is. My standard is much lower. My vet originally sold me a similar product but it was liquid and my dog hated the liquid medicine's taste and smell. My dog Buster was extremely unhappy with the liquid medicine. But this medicine is different. Not only is a powdered form but has no taste or smell. It was easy to put the tiny amount into Buster's food. And now that Buster is taking his medicine I feel like I am doing a better job as a dog parent in treating his kidney disease.

Good product
I purchased first container through my vet who recommented for older Yorkie. She's been on this for almost a year now and blood tests show an improvement on her kidney function numbers that she is maintaining. Great product!

Worth a try
Our 9yo tabby recently got dx with early stage kidney disease. The cost of the Rx food is ridiculous, especially with many reviews indicating their cats don't like it. My vet approved us trying this and we've been using it since January. We mix it in with her wet food and add a little bit of water to make it kind of soupy so it mixes better and she hasn't (YET) noticed that there's anything added to her food. We aren't do for labs for a couple of months, but she seems to be doing a lot better since introducing this into her diet.

Works great
Works great, not a lot of product required each time so it doesn’t make my cat not want to eat it.

Phos-Bind
Very easy to use and at a reasonable price. My dogs bloodwork isn’t due for a couple of months so I can’t post any results but this was recommended by my vet!!

R isks of Aluminum Phosphate Binder
My firsthand experience with an aluminum phosphate binder for my cat highlights the delicate balance between its benefits and risks. Here's my story to help fellow cat owners navigate this treatment option. At my vet's suggestion, I ordered the binder from Amazon to address my cat's high phosphorus levels. Despite administering the lowest recommended dose for just two weeks, my cat suffered severe side effects. He started stumbling, showing neurological symptoms, vomiting, and completely lost his appetite. Before starting this treatment, my cat was a hearty eater, unconcerned about his phosphorus levels. However, after starting the binder, he developed serious neurological and lethargy issues and refused to eat. I rushed him to the vet, who prescribed an appetite booster and other meds. Thankfully, he got better once we stopped the binder. While this aluminum phosphate binder may help some cats, it's important to understand the potential for serious side effects for some cats, even at lower doses. In my experience, symptoms appeared gradually, and I didn't recognize the connection at first. There are other options to lower phosphorus levels, and while this one is commonly recommended and effective for some cats, close monitoring is crucial to catch any adverse reactions. Unfortunately, he still hasn't gotten his appetite back after using the binder, and he refuses to eat the food he used to enjoy.
