Kills the NUT....Sedge
I bought this after watching multiple YT vids from lawn care folks recommending this. I had some bare grass in the front lawn where I somehow got a nutsedge infestation and some in the back lawn as well. This stuff was tough, I mowed it, cut it dug it up, kept coming back VERY quickly and grew FAST.I mixed a small amount with water as directed in a backpack sprayer and applied it as directed, in the evening when it wasn't too hot. The sedge, which I verified was sedge by the large and deep nut root, started looking willty the next day and eventually died a few weeks later. I then dug up the dead plants and I had a little come back which I killed again, before planting grass in the fall. This bottle will last me forever, which I will hopefully not have to use very often :)

I only wish every herbicide worked this well
This product is a one trick wonder. Mix it up per the directions, spray it on the type of weed it is specifically designed to kill, and it kills it! I am about to make my third pass around my yard trying to wipe out all the spurge poking its head up in my zoysia lawn. Whereas originally just a couple of days after I mowed there were dozens of spurge plants poking their heads up all across certain sections of my lawn, this pretty much ended after my first round of spot spraying. And a few very mature spurge plants hiding in one of our flower beds were wiped out with that first spraying ... without any noticeable damage to other nearby desirable plants which may have been hit by over spray. But there were still a few showing up here and there that I had missed ... just not as obnoxiously as before. Now I have noticed a few of those ugly heads showing up scattered around in various parts of my lawn which I hadn't seen before, so I want to hit them one more time this fall before they overwinter and then show up again next spring. It is an expensive little bottle, but it works like a charm without damage to my lawn or other nearby plantings ... and now I have a ten year supply for any that does show up later!

Let it work
I purchased a large bottle of sledgehammer to battle yellow sedge in my clover food plot. I plowed, disc’s and cleared field with a quality herbicide before I planted the clover seed. After a couple of weeks I noticed yellow sedge begs to come up. I knew what it was because I battled it at home. I didn’t worry about it because there were only a couple of plant. My plot is very remote and when I was able to return I had at least 50 full grown sedges with seed heads. I knew I had to try something or start over which is never an easy task. I ordered sledgehammer and followed directions 1 scoop per gallon of water and sprayed with my 25 gallon tank sprayer. I was skeptical but when I returned 2 weeks later was pleasantly surprised that all the sedge had yellowed and browned out with no effect to my clever plot. Great product if you let it work.

Kills Nutsedge Dead.
Used as directed with 2 gallon sprayer. Nutsedge died in about 10 days later. The mature tall Nutsedge was dead in 12 days. Give it time and let it work. I have Bermuda and this is the only product that work for me.

Bye bye Nutsedge
Ah, the never-ending battle with nutsedge – it's like the lime-green villain that just won't quit in your beautiful Bermuda lawn. It's as if Mother Nature has a sense of humor, creating these relentless green invaders to test our patience. I made the rookie mistake of trying to pluck them, only to find out they reproduce like rabbits with their tiny offspring. It's like a never-ending game of nutsedge Whac-A-Mole!But then, enter the Sedgehammer herbicide, our trusty hero in this epic saga of the green vs. the not-so-green. It doesn't just knock them down; it knocks them down hard, like a knockout punch in a heavyweight boxing match. Within 72 hours, these nutsedge foes start to wither and brown, like they're auditioning for a role in a gardening horror movie. By 7-10 days, they look as dead as disco – a true triumph for the Bermuda lawn defender. And as for those roots, well, they're in for a rough ride through most of the growing season. It's like they've enrolled in the school of hard knocks, with Sedgehammer as the unforgiving teacher. Sure, a few nutsedge survivors might try to pull a surprise comeback the next year, but they usually show up sparser than a pop star's entourage. So, while nutsedge may be a persistent adversary, armed with Sedgehammer, you're on the path to a nutsedge-free future, one lime-green foe at a time. Bermuda lawn, here's to hoping you'll finally get the peace and quiet you deserve!
