Rocna Stainless Steel Anchor

I needed to replace the anchor on my 28 ft Grady-White, and I chose what I believe is the best stainless steel anchor on the market. My anchor arrived undamaged and on time. Yes, it is expensive, but I think in this case you get what you pay for. I am very happy with the purchase.

No. 1 Too much advertisement on the anchor. Just how many times do you need to put the name Rocna on it? Raised lettering on the fluke that is ugly as hell that is not on the picture. If I would have seen this I would not have come close to buying this anchor. Shipping an 88 lb anchor back would be brutal. I really don't know if being butt ugly is a reason for rejection. I'm selling it at a discount locally.No. 2 The anchor does not fit in the rollers correctly. I talk to another sailor who had the same problem with his Rocna; he showed me how to fix. Its lots of starboard to wedge between the rollers and the fluke. It's just a weird shank design.I give it 2 stars because it did hold Okay when I tried it once.

I bought this anchor for my canoe to take when my young son and I go fishing, but I failed to see the chocking hazard warning until it was to late. On the bright side though, the anchor was a bit heavy but now without the weight of my son in the canoe now everything floats along just fine.

Best holding anchor I ever had and I have had most of them. Down side, it did not fit well in the anchor roller. I knew that before I bought it. A fix was supplied by another boater with the same boat. It holds fast and hard.

Best anchor ever made.
