The girls liked it the first day!
Instructions not very good but 8th grade boy put it together within an hour. He mounted it himself tooGirls started laying within the hour! We even left our other 4 nest boxes in the coop and was worried they would go to their old laying spot. They chose the new nests! And the eggs are clean! Excited!

Not the fix I was looking for
I have several hens that eat eggs regularly. When I only have 12 out of 30 laying regularly, it gets to be more than annoying when I lose 4 of the 12 to chickens who are well fed and free range all day. I bought this because I was hoping to not have to cull the hens who ARE laying, but also eating eggs. The major design flaw that I see is that the basket is not deep enough. My hens lay their eggs, then just pop their heads into the holding location and chow down. This is not nearly deep enough to stop egg eating and was a waste of money.

Frail, needs more securing poings, and more rigid connections.
Just bought my second one, not because of the price, but to match the first. This one had better bolts and nuts, the rest was the same.1. The roof is a single rolled edge sheet of painted sheet metal.2. The laying bins are pretty well done, and pretty thick, although difficult to get in and out of the slots.3. The perches that cover the laying bins are also sturdy, but the pins that hold them In place are going to break during the winter (Utah). What is not so good.1. The connecting hardware (nuts, bolts, mounting hooks) are incredibly cheap, and getting the Chinese nuts and bolts to thread together was 90% of my assembly time. They did not want to line up to thread together.2. Two mounting holes were not close to lining up.3. The wall sheets need to be thicker to add rigidity.4. There are two very thin long braces that make up the low front and back frame, both are very frail, and even after mounting are the weakest point of the entire unit.5. Pricing based upon the final build. If this used one gauge thicker sheet metal, it might be worth the price, but as shipped I would not pay $45 for this unit if I had seen it in a retail outlet (Cal-Ranch, Tractor Supply) prior to buying it.

We were looking forward to this, but...
$100 was at a price point where I expected more. This is made from extremely thin sheet metal, which I question if it would hold up to regular use from full sized chickens. Sadly, I will never know. We received this product packaged as a box within a box. The outer shipping box was undamaged. The inner product box, however, completely fell apart as we were trying to unpackage it. The product inside was damaged. For $100 I expect it to be undamaged and ready to put together. The sheet-metal was so thin that I most likely could have made it work, but why bother? We opted to return the product and find a different nesting box for our girls. Neat concept, but too high of a price point for the quality of material.

fell apart with-in 2 weeks. don't waste your money
the slide in trays continuously fell out. everyday we went to get our eggs the trays were on the ground. 1 tray came off completely when the cheap metal holding it together broke. No surprise there's no warranty. buyer beware.

Poorly Made
I bought these nest boxes imagining that they would be amazing and wouldn't fall apart like wooden ones. The pan doesn't stay on the track so it falls off when the hens jump on them. I don't think I've ever found an egg in one of these. The girls get scared because of the way the pan falls out. Just about everyday I have to put at least one back on the track. I'm so sorry I spent all this money when I could have paid half as much for wooden ones. I would look elsewhere if you are looking for nest boxes.

Keeps eggs clean
Easy to assemble. The birds took to these in a few days with the help of adding some pine bedding to the boxes. Eggs are clean and roll nicely into the bin. Less egg breakage too. Just had some trouble with the center bin. It does not stay in place so i took it out. I will try to somehow fix that problem in the warm weather. Right now... to cold to mess with it. Mine are hanging about 1 foot off the floor of the coop so birds can still walk under them so no floor space lost. I really like these better then traditional boxes, and saves me time from cleaning eggs all the time that break or get dirty in muddy weather.

It came broken in the mail...
Garbage ! Its flimsy as can be and came to me in the mail with broken plastic tray pieces I tried to superglue back together to no avail, I bought I much higher quality roll away nest box that works great but it was over $225.00, not very happy with this thing at all, over $100.00 shot to pieces, thanks for nothing...
