A very fine book. I recommend this book to everyone who wants to improve their life in any field.

Very useful. Worth reading.

The media could not be loaded.  After reading cathrine ponders books, I came across this hope. I thought would learn something new as it was 1st published in 1936. But to my dismay it hard to intercept the author high literature. Who aren't quite familiar with English literature and you need to keep the dictionary around. It's quite a task to absorb the things author wants to convey. Nevertheless it would be great atleast if we learn a atleast 1 topic.

The written language is poor so a bit difficult to understand! So could not read completely.

A book that talks to you with sincerity, similar in its tone to Susan Jaffers' Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway,yet, different due to its passion and conviction. It begins with explaining how hypnosis works and says that we must also act under a self-hypnosis that will help us push our limitations. The writer asserts that we should submit to a self-hypnosis and 'act as if failure is not a possibility.' Is this another way of saying that we should behave with extreme self-confidence?The drawback of the book can also be its strength for some readers: the difficulty of language. While some ofus might enjoy reading the lovely cadence of its sentences, for most, it could be a put-off because they areso used to reading simple self help books.

Je voulais ce livre de Dorothea Brande. On le trouve couplé avec d'autres auteurs et j'étais un peu perdu. Que choisir dans toutes ces versions disponibles ?Ravie d'avoir lu un commentaire qui nous met en garde : ce sont des versions "commentées"? "améliorées "? par d'autres auteurs. (les droits de ce livre sont tombés dans le domaine publique).Je suis contente d'avoir acheté la version originale du texte via la publication à la demande. (la première édition date de 1936)Je craignais beaucoup la qualité de ce livre, mais franchement elle est top ! Le livre (une centaine de pages) est souple, facile à ouvrir et manipuler et ne tombe pas en miettes en tournant les pages ou en ouvrant grand le livre.Je peux maintenant aller à la découverte du secret de la réussite !

I take up this book nearly every day. I read in around 3 to 4 days. Love some of the wit Dorothea wrote it the book sometimes. But, most importantly, she is straight to the point. Some areas, were a little hazy, but in most cases, a very good guide.Had problems with the initial postage by the Seller, but once I had it, it was worth the wait. Love the book, love the words
