SkimmerMotion - The Automatic Pool Cleaner - Clarifier Pool Skimmer - Suction Skimmer for Pools up to 8.5 ft deep

Have a 20 x 40 inground pool and was hoping this would help catch some of the birch and maple droppings at spring time. The hose that attaches is small (about 1 inch diam.) and just doesn't have enough suction to pull in the droppings. Sent back.The package arrived on time and I was provided prompt service on the return.

I'm using it with the Barracuda G2. The first thing that I noticed when installing it is that the T connector provided doesn't fit quite snugly enough into the G2. I immediately called tech support at SkimmerMotion and spoke to a guy named Alex. He didn't have any idea what to tell me to do except that I'm the first Barracuda G2 user that has called in. He promised to call me back with an answer but I never received a call back, so minus one star for bad fittings and another for bad tech support. I ended up having to duct tape the connector in order to get it to work. Another issue is that the hose provided constantly becomes entangled with the cleaner vacuum hose. that certainly needs some work and ingenuity. The hose provided probably could be more flexible in order to allow more movement...maybe an anti twist adapter. That said it does 'suck'... pun intended. It will vacuum up small debris from the top of the pool but in the limited time I've used it I've had to adjust it at least a dozen times or so (the last 2 days). All in all a good idea but they took some shortcuts in the quality of the adapter parts and needs some technical revisionism.

good idea but way too small - i have it attached to a zodiac MX6, and it does great with the small stuff. the connections are wonky, it wouldn't take much to make the t-connector fit the locking hoses on the zodiac better. but this needs to be up-sized to be really effective. the hose should be at least 1.5 inches to match the hoses for zodiac and prevent blockage. the catch pan needs to be at least 2 ft across to really trap the items. i find i still have to rake the large stuff out of the pool, which is disappointing.if you dont get a lot of debris and have mostly bugs and pollen, this will work fine. would lover to see a skimmer motion XL.

Our pool is down in the woods so a LOT of debris. This is a great help with the small stuff that is always falling in once the big leaves are out. I would give it 5 stars if the edges were rounded over so it could move under a solar cover.

Easy to install and works as advertised. The surface water of my pool has never been so clean.

Did not work for me vacuum lost a lot of power and did not want to climb to the shallow end

Hose keeps tangling up around vacuum.. Also the hose causes the skimmer to tip sideways which causes air to flow into the hose, which causes the vacuum to stop working until it can get enough suction built up...Great idea... Maybe if the skimmer was heavier it wouldn't tip so easily and if the hose was more flexible... Just a thoughtI'm sending mine back...

Worked ok, my pool filter system did not provide enough suction to work ideally but the company was more than helpful and very gracious
