Should be called Toned in 30 not 10
If you are going to do this DVD 'properly' then you should always complete the 10 min warm up, the 10 min cool down PLUS your 10 min choice of workout in between therefore if you want to get toned, you really have to commit at least 30 mins rather than the title suggests of only 10 mins.I haven't been a massive fan of her other DVDs - always found Davina a bit OTT and irritating so I was quite glad when she announced she wouldn't actually be taking the class, just a participant in the background. However, the main lady lacks so little warmth/personality that I found myself wanting Davina to come up with some of her annoying quips just to break the monotony. The music during the warm up is really good and motivating however after that it really goes down hill. It's very bland and boring and doesn't really inspire you to really go for it. It's like they lost their license to play well-known tunes. The sections are incredibly challenging but quite interesting. I am going skiing soon so I'm using it mainly for leg strength and I can really feel the burn. You will need a pilates ball and a set of weights to really get the most of these workouts.

Not sure what to think!
This is definitely not for the weak or of faint heart. The so-called warm up is literally a workout in of itself. I'm not kidding!I power walk and run 5 days a week. I do alternating toning days and rest days. THIS DVD is crazy!NOT for me really. VERY disjointed - though the 'flow' session and cool down were very well done, the rest.. I have NO desire to do any of the myriad of workouts included (There are Loads! all 10 minutes or so) if you are looking for CRAZY bursts of exercise at a RAMPAGING speed then this is for you!! (Davina, bless her heart, no matter WHAT she says, she's keeping up!) The instructor however, I actually think I can't stand her! Shouting and hooting all the way through. A bit overkill really!! VERY distracting.. I will be giving this dvd to someone else.. or donate it. sorry!! (You CAN do these workouts individually!! or if you're a total nutter - do them all, I don't recommend it though!! toning and cardio included.. so this might be the dvd for you!!)

Toned in 10?
I think it's really important to realise "Toned in 10" doesn't refer to minutes. Instead, it refers to the 10 exercise "blends". Included in these are the warm up and cool down, which you should do (Davina says) each session. So, rather than being geared towards quick daily exercise bursts, the exercise blends in this DVD are designed to be used in longer sessions for at least three days a week. How you combine the warm up and cool down, and how many other routines you do, is up to you.The exercises really will get your whole body moving, that's for sure – the warm up alone does this – which has obvious advantages. However, like others, I don't think that Sarah is a particularly personable trainer, and she has a tendency to dismiss Davina's trademark humour, even talking over her. Sarah, it's clear, is in firm control here. I also wanted more by way of explanation of the exercises I was trying to copy. This is a DVD I will need to study and get to know. I think others will too. I'll also need to use it for longer exercise sessions. These aren't bad things but they're not great if, like me, you're pushed for time.I will be using the DVD, and believe that I will benefit from it. Nevertheless, I do think that the advertising and blurb could have been more clear.Update: As I went through the video, I warmed to Sarah. She endures Davina's fawning pretty well and she is encouraging. But beware: this isn't a beginners exercise DVD. You need to know some Pilates.

Fantastic
I’ve always done the Davina dvds (although I wasn’t a fan of the Ed ones) and really enjoyed them. After 5 months of doing no exercise and drinking too much wine, snacking on crisps and scoffing my daughter’s leftovers, I decided action needed to be taken before I covered the mirrors. I bought this dvd, an exercise ball and 1kg weights and kicked wine o clock and snacking to the curb. My body has changed already and I am only 3 weeks in. These exercises are hard, especially the stomach ones, but I know with time I will get stronger and find it easier. I love everything about this dvd...it is really uplifting, challenging, has a good soundtrack and Sarah the instructor is really inspiring. I have already lost that square shape to my stomach and it is now much flatter. It’s all going in the right direction and I look forward to doing it all year and hope they do another one together for January 2019.Update June 2018-I did this dvd 5 days a week, doing the warm up, 2 sections and the abs every time and in 3 months I have lost 2 stone. Of course I have been eating well and not scoffing, but this dvd has got me into shape. I now do it 3 times a week and allow wine at weekends (you have to stay sane right?) and my weight has stabilised. I attach before and after for inspiration! This dvd is the best exercise dvd I’ve ever had, and I’ve been doing them since the early nineties, so have seen them all ha ha!
