"DeskCycle" for under half the price
I was looking at the different types of mini exercise bikes, at first glance you'd be hard pushed to wonder why some are £30, while others such as the branded "DeskCycle" are as high £170. This is mainly due to the magnetic resistance, which makes the motion smooth and silent, and doesn't rely on simply friction (which all of the cheaper models use). The "DeskCycle" doesn't do anything better than this one and is outrageously overpriced, they both use the same technology and are very similarly built.I cannot recommend this enough for the price, providing it holds up in the future.

Strong, stable, smooth and quiet.
I paid a bit more for this exerciser as it had a lower profile than others of a similar type so that I could slide it under my chair when not in use, unfortunately I miscalculated and it doesn't quite go entirely underneath, but not to worry, that's my fault. It is a well built item and feels strong and stable, it built up without any problem and I used it as soon as it was built. It has a nice smooth action with a variable resistance and is quiet in use, better than the cheaper belt resistance types which usually have a hissy whizzy noise when in use. There is a computerized display, use that as you will, I just look at my clock and time myself and tend not to take notice of the display, but the option is there if you want it. All in all it is a nice piece of kit and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone who asked.

Not silent and not fit for purpose
I had high hopes for this bike based on the positive reviews. It arrived at my workplace and I was able to assemble it fairly quickly - pictorial instructions would've been nice, but figured it out. The display bean didn't fit easily onto the metal prong, which seemed to be too large, and took some force to get it to attach correctly. I noticed the machine was a little scuffed in places and parts of the casing didn't quite line up - it was also a light lilac colour, not white as advertised, but I wasn't too bothered about cosmetic aspects, as long as it worked.Initially, it was whisper-silent as advertised, however about 5k into my first session it developed a loud repetitive mechanical clunk - almost as if ungreased parts were colliding or rubbing. I checked the pedals were correctly connected (they were) - the noise seemed to be coming from inside the machine. As by design they can't be disassembled and have internal bearings, this seems both anti-repair (I can't fix something I can't see) and poorly designed, if it can fail so quickly. In hindsight I wonder if I got sent someone else's returned item, given the cosmetic defects and the internal fault. I tried it on various different resistances but I couldn't get rid of the noise, and I was beginning to feel the simmering rage of my colleagues nearby so I had to stop.Unfortunately the loud noise makes it completely unsuitable for office use, so I've had to return it - a real shame. I hope I just got a faulty unit and they're not all like that, as the 'silent operation' was the main selling point for me.It gets 2 stars rather than 1 as I liked the design of the pedals and found them comfortable and easy to operate.

Clonking after less than a month
Bought this for my wife after current mini exercise cycle the one with the big flywheel began to make a noise after around two years. After less than a month this one started to make a clonking noise so have had to return it. Very disappointing.

No criticisms, save for the one given.
This is a very good exercise bike, the smooth action mirroring the traditional upright bikes. I bought it to exercise the upper body. I have had two knee joint replacements and, at present, am unable to use the traditional bike although, no doubt, in time this will be possible. I bought it with a view to keeping fit by operating it by hand. The one reservation I have, therefore, is that it doesn’t include ‘hand grip’ alternatives as the pedals are cumbersome for hand operation. I have given this 5 stars but my individual requirements mean that it should, more properly be 4 1/2.

Good buy with a few limitations
As I am now partially sighted, my wife assembled the mini bike and had to puzzle out what went where as instructions not exactly clear. Once done, the wee thing is not exactly light weight but now sits under our kitchen table. Must be pulled out to cycle otherwise my knees hit the table. But as our floor has a smooth surface, this is not difficult. Disadvantage is that smooth floor let's bike slide away. If you cycle at a steep angle I.e. with the bike close to your chair, it tends not slide.Being partially sighted, the small display is of little use. Pity there isn't a model without display. I only want to compete against me to rebuild lost muscle power and density. It is quiet with only a minor rubbing on the left pedal. Probably a poorly fitted bearing. Cycles just as well forward as back the way but not sure if that's of benefit. I don't use pedal loops as they are too tricky to get my feet in. May just cut them off. But in the end a good buy as it does what I wanted it to do but i would say it's too heavy to lifteasily onto table for arm exercise!

Just the job!
Bought for my wife after she suffered a broken hip. Needed to build up her strength and muscle power. She can't ride a bicycle and we don't have a lot of room for a full exercise bike - so this is ideal. It's well made and has a solid feel - but it's a bit heavy (but manageable). Easy to assemble - just bolting on the legs. Most difficult part was fitting the shoe straps!

Cyclette:rotta e mal assemblata in alcuni punti. All'appello manca una rondella.
