The Best Idea Ever!
I cannot day enough good things about these caps! They are easy to apply, my dog doesn’t even realize they are on her and I’m constantly getting compliments on them 😊 I love that they make my girls feet quieter on our hardwood floors and that she can’t scratch my furniture or my son when they wrestle! I’ll be buying and recommending these for a long time!

You need to update your size chart
Do not believe the size chart when ordering these. I have a pug that is 17lbs and the large size did not fit. Even when I tried to trim the top to create a large hole, all it did was spit the cap. I gave up on the 5 broken cap, and a very skirmy unhappy senior pug. He doesn't like his paws messed with as it is but I was hoping this would help his grip. He has severe hip dysplasia. I am returning the product and ordering a larger size hoping this works. The company should update their size chart because I think it is way off considering the reviews I have read. For everyone have trouble putting on nail caps here is what you should do to NOT injure your animal. I worked in the vet field for a couple years and put nail caps on tons of cats and dogs. Trim the hair around the paw or shave it if you have to. I clean each nail with an alcohol pad just because these caps stays on a long time and I have seen infections start underneath these caps. I let the alcohol fully dry. Make sure the nail is trimmed and filled down but not to short. You don't want to see the quick or pink. When the animals walk on the caps it puts alot of pressure on the nails an can injure or split the nail if its to short or even cause sores. The nail caps actually push back the quick when they walk. Overtime if your dogs quicks were really long they will begin to receed and you can cut your dogs nails shorter each week (As long as they are still active. If they are a senior dog it will be a much slower process if at all). So if you cut the nail to short wait a few days until it grows out. Then when you go to apply the caps put the cap on each nail and make sure it fits. I usually have to trim at a 45 degree angle because animal nails are curved. Then you only need a drop of glue. DO NOT FILL UP 1/4-1/3 UP THE CAP. This will cause the glue to leak out the cap onto the animals skin an cause alot of irritation. I hope this helps people that are have trouble putting on the nail caps.

So disappointed! NOT SAFE. My poor Pitbull!!
Wow the instructions are misleading. Order product based on my Pits’ Size, removed as much hair as possible from around nail, had to cut the tip to fit, as they were a bit long, filled 1/3 with glue and they all adhered with my girl laying there like the princess she is...next day she couldn’t walk!!! She was in so much pain!! Apparently the glue had melted through the backside of the cover and into her nailbed. She was in so much pain! No mention of “If this happens” type of thing in the instructions. Now she’s on as much bedrest as a 60 lb. pit bull can be. Just to get a feel for what she was going through, I put just one drop of the glue that comes in the kit on the back side of my hand and OMG did it hurt and not just for a second, like at the people nail salon. So So disappointed. I Will be returning the product that I have not used. Not a healthy item for your pet!!!!

know your dogs weight?
I have ordered two sets of these, one for my Goldendoodle pup, and one for my significantly heavier Pibble. Both of my dogs are used to being handled and that I am their leader not the other way around, so putting these on was a breeze. My Pibble has been wearing her nails down to the quick lately so I fill the tips of these nail covers with 2 part epoxy before applying. This way they work like horse shoes. they offer something with more resistance then the covers alone to use as a protective wear surface, giving her nails additional time to grow and added durabilityMake sure that you know your dogs weight so you get the correct size, and only install these with your pooches feet being clean and dry, paw hair pulled or trimmed back, and they last a couple weeks, even with dogs who are daily swimmers and extremely active runners, like mine are.

PLEASE DON’T PUT THESE ON YOUR POOR DOG
Purchased these b/c of a trip to family with soft wood floors. Not sure if the glue was the issue or the plastic but our 6-month-old boxer about chewed the ends of her toes off to get these off. It took us several days and we eventually had to SEDATE HER to get the last two off, and she still cried and yelped - it was just horrific. PLEASE, IF YOU LOVE YOUR DOG THEN DON’T BUY THIS TERRIBLE PRODUCT.

Perfect for how I wanted to use them
My dogs nails are SUPER SHORT! they naturally grind their nails down just by the way they work. They’re 45 and 58 pound mutts but they both love to run and run in place and be crazy so their nails are already super short and I have never had to trim their nails and they’re 4and 3!!! (With the exception of their dew claws) anyway... I bout the XL and they were the perfect width but far too long so I simply cut them to the desired length (basically just using the tip lol) and it was actually really easy to cut them only one out of the 21 caps I cut split randomly/ became unusable after cutting. I’m used to using these because I used them for my cat before so I already knew what to expect (sticking the glue to my own fingers and getting it on more than just my dogs nails lol) but over all worked perfectly! the dogs are comfortable with them don’t even notice them on and they no longer scratch up the hard wood floors even with what little bit of nails they had.... and they’re silent...

Stopped the scratches on my legs
It took a couple nails to get the hang of it, but once we did it was easy. The trick is to squeeze out the excess glue and wipe with paper towel before applying to nail. My dog barely noticed they were there. I applied some calming aromatherapy oil to her ears before we started and she was fine during the application. Her nails have always been so sharp - even a day after getting them ground down - that every time she got excited and jumped off the couch (using me as a springboard) I would get terrible scratches. Then I started noticing little scratches on my leather furniture (not through the leather, thankfully!) And decided to do something about it. These tips are soft and rubbery and prevent scratches on me and my furniture!

Super cute - careful with the glue
I got these for my dog (17.5kgs) and the size guide was spot one - they fit absolutely perfect. I followed the instructions to the letter and the they went on very easily. Be careful with the glue instructions say to fill about 1/3 and I filled just below the recommended and the glue ended up spreading over the top of the cap on one toe…she may not seem like a big deal, however, the glue is basically nail glue we would use for ourselves, and when it makes contact on the skin, it can peel a layer off - it does the same for a dog - so she has a spot that was irritated for a few days until it healed (no pain, whining or crying, just a lil red dry patch on her toe). They look super cute on and she didn’t show any songs of irritation or discomfort from them. It’s been a few weeks and they’re starting to grow off the way the instructions/information say they will.

Good, but IMPORTANT POINTS here!!!
These are great overall. Here are some important tips with them:1) Don't get these if you have an itchy dog! They make it impossible for it to effectively scratch, as you've taken away its nails!2) These are perfect for old dogs who can't walk on slippy surfaces. I would not get them for young dogs, unless they really have trouble.3). Make sure to cut it down with scissors first. They can be too long for some dogs and hit their skin where the nail meets.4) Make sure you cut its nails first, as these will be on for a while and its nails will grow underneath them.

Sizing is confusing
I don't know who thought of the breeds they used for the sizing examples, but jesus christ, i wanna see a 48 lbs scottish terrier LOL. Anyways, I got the XXL for my dog who is way larger than a scottie (lol). It's a bully breed mix, 55 lbs slim built, about the overall size and height of a boxer. I thought well hey, he ain't gshep sized but still way larger than a scottie. Well those claw caps are suited for 70 lbs dogs like gsheps and goldens, even fit my sister's borzoi. Way too large for my dog. I added pics so you can see the size of the caps and the size of my dog. I will buy again but in XL, and I recommend you buy XL if you have a medium breed like a boxer, husky, standard poodle, weimareiner, aussie, labrador or any 45-60 lbs dog breed (not a scottie). Hope this helped.

Great for elder GSD
Our ten year old GSD was having a hard time slipping on our wood flooring, especially with a puppy GSD that loves jumping all over the old man. We have used similar "caps" for our cats with great success (to protect furniture), so thought we would give these a try to give his back legs traction, and they work! He's way more confident now and they have been on for a week without any problems.

Nice colours and sparkly but not the size I need
The product is nice with pretty colours and very sparkly but the size chart is very Inaccurate. My dog weighs between 20-25lbs but the caps size associated to that is not the size I need and there is no option for return. Now I am stuck with caps that are too small and a senior dog that still slips on the hardwood floors hurting herself. Guess I will have to try to sell these and/or take the loss.
