Manager insisted, "Make a phone this guy won't accidentally break."
Update: This phone continues to be wonderful after several weeks of use. I have dropped it many times without ill effect. Waterproof feature means can use it in the rain without fear of damage.Engineers had my picture on the break room wall when they designed this phone. The rugged phone is solid, easy to carry, and a joy to use. 6 GB of RAM and an excellent touch screen make it process apps quickly while being responsive to commands. Fingerprint scanner is placed a good location and responds instantly. I do not like the placement of the SOS button because I accidentally press it too often. Battery life is excellent. Screwdriver and two spare screws were included for the plate which must be removed to insert SIM and SD cards. My T-Mobile SIM card was instantly recognized and connected to 4G LTE network. Search YouTube for reviews if you need help inserting the SIM.Update: I took this phone on a four hour kayaking trip. The phone was attached to my wrist with a home-make paracord lanyard. It rested in water for most of the trip and was dropped several times to be saved by the lanyard. The only trouble was the speaker sounded muffled for several hours afterwards. I think I did not close the rubber cover of the charging port properly. The rubber cover is somewhat difficult to open, so I usually leave it loose.

It's worth every penny
I waited a week before writing the review, chose this phone after spending hundreds on screen repairs on fancy phones, they are so fragile, I got your of it.Pros. :The construction look very good, I was expecting a mediocre Chinese construction. But it actually looks very good. I could give the an 9 out 10 on that.I dropped it a few times already nothing but a scratch on the screen protector. This phone has so many features. I think it's worth every penny. Battery lasts all day, unlike other phones I had. The speaker is super loud, I mean loud!, has so many customizable battery saving modes it could get complicated, phone is fast and it's has every feature any other fancy phone can have.Cons.: the phone it big. I mean it's huge I wasn't expecting such a big screen. The waterproof ports covers are so hard to open I usually need something to pry them open.My wireless fast charger from my previous phone didn't work. But read some other cheap brands would solve it.No every headphones can inserted in the port since the outer port hole it's so small, if the headphone plug its bulky it won't fit in. Luckily we have Bluetooth. The SOS button can come handy for an old person wanting to feel safe when spending lots of time by themselves. (it can be deactivated)Ptt button uses an app the other parties need the same app to work. The charging light it's so little it can only be seen when close and when looking straight. If I had to buy it again I would

From Heck and back....
Let me tell you that I have had durable phones and I've had meek phones, finding out which ones suit your life style is almost an art of abuse. What will my phone handle, what if I drop it, what if this and that blah blah blah. This phone has been reliable and has been through lots in the short time I've had it, it's fallen off the second floor of a house dead onto contrete and not one scratch, fallen into the bay and retrieve with no damage, and has even repelled an attacking dog (it was the heaviest thing I had on me so best believe I chucked it as hard as I could.). You will not regret buying this phone, it's fast, it's reliable, it's heavy yes but for good reason, and best of all it's ugly so you got a theft protection right there. Also be sure to activate/register your phone with your provider so you can get better access to APNs I had some trouble with Straight talk but they told me all I needed to do.

I love this phone
What not to love? (well there are somethings lol) It's tough, it's big, it has a lot of storage. You can actually move apps to the sd card. ( unlike some other phones) Wireless charging. I picked up one of those wireless chargers for $5 at the Walmart counter and it works fine. It also comes with some great tool apps. Now the things they could work on. The buttons, oh so many button. You can't even touch it without pushing a button. I use a service that has its own messaging app and once in a while the phone switches the app to the one that came with the phone. And right now it's slow. I tap a app and have to wait for it to open (reason for only 4 stars). Right now I'm using the Freedompop service which uses the AT&T towers. It says AT&T network at the top of phone. I went to AT&T to switch over to them and they said I can't. They said once I put another sim in the phone, it locked the phone to that service only. They need to get a manager who knows what they are talking about.
