Maybe for grinding nuts....
The media could not be loaded. It did NOT pulverized the pills.....It's got a nice, strong motor, but the blades are neither made for pulvorizing, or not big enough, or not low enough......but it did NOT do the job.... Maybe for nuts....cus not even coffee was grounded properly.

Coffee grinder sold as pill crusher
it did not crush the pills fine enough for us to use. The reason we bought the unit was to replace a hand pill crusher that was wearing out, and would no longer crush the pills fine enough to be swallowed. It still works better than this purchased electric crusher. I would not recommend this unit.

Medical advice on taking pills required this solution.
It crushes all the small pills which are not inside plastic cases. But fish oil when crushed leaves sharp bits of dangerous covering, have to use scissors and spill it out.. Curcumin also has to be opened by hand and powder comes out. Very glad I bought it!!

Do not buy
This pill crusher does not work. It does not crush the pills, but rather cuts them into chunks. I used it one time and had to go back to my manual pill crusher.

DON'T BUY THIS AT ANY PRICE
This pill crusher didn't crush pills at all. It is by far the worse product I have ever gotten at Amazon. It wasn't new by any means and it had a very strong order of curry. I got this to crush pills for my wife who had a stroke. She has a feeding tube because she can't sallow or talk. Don't waste your money or time with this product

It works.....however
Upgraded to this electric grinder. It works well with my mother-in-laws medicine however while its grinding the pills a lot of dust escapes. If it were air-tight it would be a 5 star review.
