Three months ago, when I installed these leather-covered tongue pads, they seemed excellent: comfortable, good-looking (for a tongue pad), strongly adhering, and therefore worth the money. Today, they're a complete failure. The reason is that after a while the adhesive weakened, allowing both pads to migrate from their initial position. One pad shifted off the shoe tongue and toward the toe end of the shoe, leaving a trail of sticky gunk. The other pad vanished entirely--it came off by itself, stuck to a sock, and was in the laundry without my noticing. I discovered the loss when I wondered why a sock I was trying to don was stuck together--the adhesive had not been strong or stable enough to permanently adhere the pad to the shoe, but it was strong enough to stick to the inside of my sock, leaving an unpleasant, gluey residue. (The residue comes off with paint thinner.)

One pad become slanted after a day of walking.. i tried to remove it and GUESS WHAT! IT DOES NOT PEEL! Doesn't anyone here ever tried to peel this off? Or is this like a insert that I am suppose to keep it there forever?These pads left my shoe a complete mess, i had to use warm water, dryer to heat up the glue to rub it off my shoe. Still feels sticky even now and there s glue still TRAPPED under some laces.On the brighter side, if you shoes are super enough and you are 200% sure you will never adjust the pads, it might work!

I used these as designed to stabilize/pad the tongue of some shoes. I also put them in a pair of booties that had an uncomfortable seam across the top. Problem solved. I've purchase MANY different products as I have a AAA/4A heel and the Italian designers I used to wear have gone out of business. SO, I rarely find a pair of shoes that truly 'fit', regardless of price point. This is a substantial product, not anything like moleskin, and it affixes well. I haven't yet used the heel grips. I'm still looking for a product for sling backs with very narrow heel straps. The gel strips (multiple brands) I've tried do not stay in place and are a waste of money.

I bought a $500 pair of Lucchese boots and i purchased them too big. I tried everything but I thought i made a big mistake. This little piece saved me. They pushed by foot back into the heal and tightened the fit without hurting. Very good glue.

Perfect insert for people with a low instep and narrow feet. My husbands feet are size 14AAA. Nothing is ever narrow enough, especially athletic shoes, as a men's narrow is a B. This insert works wonderfully to keep from zipping up the shoelaces super tight. The pad is extra cushy foam and leather, which makes the quality the best I have seen.

I don't know if Germans have very small feet, or the tongues in German shoes are very small (equally unlikely), but a Large/Extra Large in these is WAY too small for any of my shoes. These are the dimensions:Width at top: 2-1/4"Width at bottom: 1-1/4"Height: 3-1/4"The padded area is set in about 1/4" from all sides and the back side, which has the glue, is pulled in at the edge by the padding, making good adhesion questionable.I understand why they don't accept returns: they'd be out of business. I'd look elsewhere!

My new slide in slippers had an instep that was a tad bit too big for my foot. This pad makes my slippers feel more secure on my feet as I walk. I recommend testing the positions of the pads before peeling off the adhesive film and be very careful when positioning the pads to stick. They feel great but I guess time will tell if they are durable. I think they will be.

I bought these because my right foot is half a size smaller than my left foot, with a low instep on both. I sometimes have issues with extra room in my right shoes/boots if the instep volume is too generous. These pads are just what I needed to reduce a bit of volume and gently push my heel back and down into the heel counter. The adhesive seems quite strong, and the material (both the foam filling and suede) is very comfortable, to the point of not even knowing it's in place.If you have similar issues with heel slip and/or too much instep volume, and you aren't interested in using in insoles or heel pads, these will do the trick.Edit 12/22/19: Adhesive failed and the tongue pad fell off within a matter of weeks. Was applied to the unfinished side of smooth leather (Horween Chromexcel.) Rating changed to 2 stars.

Für Menschen mit schalen Füßen und niedrigem Spann. Kleben sehr gut und drücken sich nicht so zusammen wie solche von anderen Firmen.

Im Stiefel etwas schwierig anzubringen, tut dann aber sehr zuverlässig, was es soll. Ich kann endlich Chelsea Boots tragen, obwohl mein Spann ein wenig flach ist. Sie kleben bisher sehr gut und sind auch bequem.

Das Polster könnte etwas stärker sein, aber ansonsten sehr praktisch. Gut zu befestigen und hält auch bei Beanspruchung.

The order didn't have the heel pads and the adhesive on on of the tongue pads mostly came off when pealing the backing off. On the other hand I was able to make it work and it transformed an otherwise useless pair of expensive ill fitting hiking boots into something that is now quite comfortable.
