Grundfos59896771 1/12 Horsepower Stainless Steel Circulator Pump

A great price, worked perfectly. Doesn't hurt to add a simple timer so that it only runs during the hours you'l need it. They make units with built in timers but I'm of the mind that its better to have dedicated devices so that if one part fails you just replace that part. Don't forget to consider getting the cast iron flange set and a check valve.

Bought the bronze 3/4" flanges to attach 3/4" PEX to the pump and ran a dedicated recirculation line to the most distant hot water line. This is a single speed pump and delivers hot water to all points of the house within a couple of minutes of button push, after that have hot water from faucets within ten seconds of water running. Exactly what I was wanting.

This is a fine Grundfos pump worthy of more stars but the description (as of the date of this review) says that it has a check valve. It does not have a check valve. This is a crucial part and the description must reflect it accurately.

This thing runs like a champ!So quiet I have to touch it to verify it is running.Had a bit of a start at first until all the air bubbles cleared, but then it settled right down.Replaced the previous Grundfos pump that had been running for 19 years...Only hiccup I had was that it was necessary to visit their site and ask them for the flange specs to compare to my old pump.But the Wife is happy we have hot water in 5 seconds now.Will never live without a recirc pump again. This should be a requirement for all homes....

Looks and works as advertised and fits as identical replacement for discontinued model. Would be better if itcame with power cord and/or clearly marked terminals to connect three wires. Also water flow direction is not marked. We were replacing a similar product after 17 years so we installed this in same place and direction as last one. Finally the manual recommends not installing in horizontal position. I called them about this as our last pump was in horizontal position and worked fine for all these year. Though this is their 'identical ' replacement, they are saying horizontal mounting will void warrantee and they would not give any other guidance! We hope this will still work like last one

We replace our old hot water recirculating pump after 9 years. Swap out was easy and it was an exact match for the old model that was discontinued by the same mfg. I purchased the timer as well but in the end we will not really use it. The old one ran all the time for 9 years so turning it off for a few hours during the day is not expected to offer much in return.

Replaced old discontinued circulator pump with this new replacement unit. The new boxed unit arrived within a week and was fairly easy to replace. Old pump was 20yrs old. Hopefully this new pump will last that long!
