Outback Trading Men's 2149 Trailblazer Waterproof Cotton Oilskin Western Jacket

I expected this to be effectively a carhart jacket with waterproofing. Not so. Its nice and water proof, but the durability is a joke. Nobody buys waxed cotton for dress, so yes, I wore it to work for 3 days- Im a construction worker. I'm the boss and worked inside so it wasn't abused. Raised my arm and heard a rip. Reached down and pulled at the coat and the whole side opened up. Im a bit shocked, but certainly not buying another one.

Excellent, well made, warm jacket. Purchased for my husband for his Brithday and he loves it.The fit is perfect and he really likes the concealed weapon pocket. There is a total of 3 zippered pockets on the inside with two hand warmer pockets on the outside. The coat is lined and very warm and waterproof. Very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend!

The jacket is really nice. Wish the hand warmer pockets were a bit deeper as i expect things to fall out of them during activities. Also a breast pocket would be nice.I will write a more detailed review after wearing it for a while.

Slightly smaller than my husband liked so I returned for larger size. He loves it. He uses it to work outside and then wears it as he goes to play bluegrass music. He stays warm and dry. He loves his birthday present!!! He wears a medium usually, but a large gave him more room and stretch.

No dislikes for sure as I look forward to wearing this jacket later this fall when the weather cools down. Tried on a couple of my cowboy hats with it & naturally it went well with both dark brown Hat as well as my Black Hat. when I tried on my brown hat with this jacket on you would think they came together the way the matched up or complimented one another. Jacket has a nice warm liner in it as well plus I believe this jacket is waterproof as well.

Very nice, high quality oilskin jacket. I'm 6' 208lbs with 44 shoulders, 35" waist and the fit was just right with minimal layering (t-shirt or base layer with shirt). I ended up returning it because it was shorter than expected. I ordered the "Outback Trading Pathfinder Duster" which is the exact same jacket with a parka length.

This is probably thee best coat I have ever had. In snow all day today, not one bit of water went thru it, and I stayed warm. I highly recommend this coat. It has the oil smell, but I'm sure in time it will fade.

I usually fit a perfect medium size. However, this brand is sized pretty big, so I ordered a small size, which fits me well.
