One Size Diaper Pattern: Sew your own Cloth Diapers!

Fantastic Pattern!!
I used this pattern and just made my first cloth diaper this week!! I'm not an experienced seamstress, but found the pattern very easy to use and the directions were easy to follow. I loved how the directions were listed our step by step. Every step was well explained with pictures showing what to do. I washed it and tried it on my baby today and it fits!!This pattern is to make a pocket diaper. For cloth diaper newbies, a pocket diaper has an outer layer of PUL to make it waterproof and an inner layer of microfleece or suedecloth to wick the moisture away from the baby. You leave a slit in the inner layer and stuff an absorbant insert in between the layers. These diapers are very convenient for when you will be out of the house and are an excellent nighttime option.I have only made the diaper at this point, not the insert. I have inserts that I love, so I chose to use those instead (the Thirsties Duo insets with microfiber and hemp - they are so absorbant). But the pattern is fantastic and I plan to make more diapers using the pattern!!! I recommend that you get your PUL and the inner layer fabric (either microfleece or suedecloth) from diapersewingsupplies.com. They have excellent prices and such cute PUL prints.

Making your own is MUCH less expensive and it's relatively easy.
I have been sewing for a long time, so this was very easy for me to follow. That said, I think that a beginner could do it as well. I did alter the pattern to make it an "All in One" style diaper, the pattern is for a pocket diaper & probably easier that way. I've got a few tips, especially for the beginners... I HATE to rip out stitching, so I evenly baste the elastic to the salvage edge of the cover (making sure that there is no bunching), before turning the diaper right-side out for the final finishing. I put the snaps for the wings through both layers of fabric, I think that it will be more durable, and I mark the elastic markings on both the cover & the lining, this will help line everything up properly.

Only real pattern I was able to find
This is a good diaper pattern because it's one of the only hard-copies available right now. It has all the information and step-by step instructions you need, but it is lacking in a few areas:1. This book comes with the pattern pieces printed on regular paper... which doesn't work for actual sewing. I traced it only wax paper. This works well!2. The book does not clearly explain certain details like which end of the snap (male or female) should go where.Overall, a good product, but could use a little improvement.

Highly recommend
Love the step by step pictures that go along with the written explanation. The only thing that would make it better would be if the pattern pages were perforated to rip out and make for easier cutting, but it's not really necessary. The gussets are the internal layer. Not made from the PUL layer. I imagine you could just switch it to the PUL layer without having to change much but I haven't tried it yet.

No pattern available
The 3 pages of "patterns" only page A is viewable. None are printable in the Amazon app. Save your money and just buy a pdf. Very disappointed because I thought for the price it should at least come with a pattern, and there was no reviews saying you can't get the pattern.
