(I hate trying to figure out review titles.)We got a pair of these brackets to create a privacy curtain in one doorway. Of course, you COULD just use a tension rod, and if you're renting your house, that's probably the best option. However, those things are forever slipping and falling, so we decided brackets were a better idea. With a bit of measuring (more helpful if you have a friend), they were super easy to screw into the wall. They look nice, they're sturdy, and now the curtain rod won't fall on our heads when pushing the curtain aside. Wins all around!

I did not get opposites as pictured making the tightening screw on opposites sides.Other than that they are fine and easy to install.

Sturdy & well made. I used it to replace the plastic brackets that broke in my master closet. My dowel just fit (snug) in the bracket. This is very sturdy & is held up with three screws (provided). I did have to use my electric screwdriver to get the screw in deep & keep the bracket flush to the wall.Easy to install & everything I needed was included.

I truly appreciate that the product is made of metal. The "hardware" that I had to replace was actually made of plastic and had cracked, leaving my wardrobe on the floor. I am confident that this sturdy, metal hardware will still be functioning when perhaps the house is not.
