Chain Link Gate Fork Latch 1-3/8" x 1-5/8"

The latch works well except for some excessive side to side play of the swing arm. Our post is 1 5/8" which creates a good size gap on each side of the swing arm, resulting in binding when opening and closing. A few correct sized washers from the hardware store should remedy the situation, but still a little frustrating. I'm guessing this condition is decreases with smaller pole sizes.
