Edgar is skilled at communicating the nuts and bolts of software, clarifying and illustrating with efficiency and effectiveness. Check out his manual for Final Cut Pro X while you're at it.

It might be nice if you had no knowledge of Macs or Motion but I found it to be an explanation of basic terms and a description of the GUI. No real how to or useful insight for me

Fantastic information for beginner. I took it slow and it just sunk in. You have to have patience with a manual like this as there is a lot of info but that's what I expect from the author.

Really love the work of Edgar Rothermich.These rich diagram driven manuals help unlock a deeper understanding of the software.

Its always good that an instructional how it works book has nice coloured big pictures for you to see what it is that you should be clicking on and what the outcome should look like. Very well thought out book and better than the official apple literature.
