When I received this item. I initially though, wow this a really light box. The outside packaging was nice and I like the matte look. The foam inserts made this item look even more prestige for the price I purchased these for.Then upon picking up the largest knife. I instantly felt disappointing by the weight. It felt feather light which made me assume they were sub-par quality. BOY, WAS I WRONG!I had no idea that ceramic knives are so light. I had to google it, to realize that. So, I went back to further inspect it. The rubber type non-slip handle is awesome. (Feels great, even with a wet hand and after rinsing.) I removed the sheath and realized that the blade was outstanding. All the way down to the finish it had on it. A nice gunmetal black/grey like color.So, I put this bad boy to the test on a some veggies for a salad and some poultry. Very impressive at how smooth it was to dice up some veggies with a single motion and such little pressure. The chicken was also a breeze to slice through. Not having to hack at it to get a nice clean cut from the breast.Later on the following day, I ended up using the little guy to cut an apple in half and cut out the core. Effortless.With out a doubt, an impressive knife set. From the presentation box to the plastic like sheath's, it's got it's appeal. When getting down to business they perform like expected.Hopefully they stay as sharp as long as the ceramic knife industry claims they do. Considering they're better then stainless steel in that department.

I would want so much to give 5 stars for this one. If I were judging on cutting alone, 5 stars all the way, these knives slice amazing, my wife loves them. The reason for 2 stars is 3 fold...1. the cases that you slide the knives into are not super secure-they can slide off.2. The opening slit for the knives is very narrow, and if you're not paying full attention, you could easily slide the knife forward, thinking it's going into the sheath, when in fact it's not. And this creates a real risk for getting cut.3. The beautiful dark mirrored finish requires careful wiping before drying, otherwise it looks very spotty, almost like it needs to be cleaned, even though you just cleaned it.So I would only recommend these knives to someone who is not absent minded or accident prone. But for the right person, they feel great and cut even better, so i am happy...

Meh. I really wanted a SHARP set of knives and was hopeful from the reviews. In actual use I've not been impressed. I'm vegetarian and do a lot of chopping and dicing fruit and vegetables, would have loved it if these knives made a difference. But no.Since they're ceramic, there's no hope of sharpening them up like you can easily do with regular knives. They appear to have a nice cutting edge from the picture, but that's design, not reality. When you're able to hold the knives and tilt them, you'll see that the actual edge is VERY shallow.Design is the only place where I felt these knives excelled. They are comfortable to hold, not heavy, but not too light and have an overall elegant look. The finish of the blade though doesn't stay that perfect though. It looks mottled the first time you use and wash it.Don't get me wrong, they will cut...they just don't cut any better than discount home store knives I've purchased at a lower price.One advantage is that because they're ceramic they don't brown avacado and lettuce the way steel knives would.The design

Extremely sharp and well-made. Comes in sturdy black box with magnetic clasp. Each blade has a black plastic sheath to protect blade from chipping. Shipping was on time. Manufactured by Swiss company and seems to be of high quality. I've purchased ceramic blades in China that came loose from handle, but I don't think that will happen with these. It looks fairly impressive when I bring out the set for carving at the table.Haven't used it too often, so don't know if it will chip easily like other ceramic blades. Best to hand wash and keep in sheath and case after drying.

Incredibly light, quite sharp. I am very pleased - only been 3 days with 2 large prep cooking usages so I am no judge of durability.Definitely recommending these as an intro to ceramic knife usage. I will be getting more from the same manufacture for use in my restaurant.

We've only had these knives for a couple of months, but they arrived very sharp. They really look nice in person, too. The blades are a bit thick, so you need to actually use a slicing motion rather than just pushing down. Easy to clean. I'm not sure if they are dishwasher safe but they wipe right off so we haven't bothered. We treat them like a high-end steel knife, basically, and they still look and cut like they are brand new.

Amazing knives! Highly, highly, recommend. I cut vegetables just about everyday, included squashes, pineapples, etc., some of the harder to cut fruits and veggies and these knives have no problems. I am extremely happy with my purchase. Very comfortable too hold, not too heavy, and aesthetically they are pleasing. I've been hand washing them and have no problem with the wear and tear for the couple of months I've been using them. Still going strong!

Use these all of the time and love them. They are sharp, feel good in my hand, and the perfect three sizes for whatever I need. I have not had to sharpen them yet and have had them for about six months. Easy to clean and seem to be a very good quality product for the price.
