OK for smaller boats
I use a 7/16 line for myy bumpers and these are barely adequate. They seem to work well, but I think you need 3/8 line

Easy to install and adjust
I only had to look at the instructions a few times to install these on the rails of my boat. I’m using 1/4 inch twisted nylon rope and it’s pretty easy to adjust the height of the fenders, but at least for me, it takes two hands. Still, it’s easier than adjusting a hitch knot. I did tie a stopper knot on the end to keep the line from falling out of the keeper when lowering the fender.
