I was skeptical at first with these, but decided to try anyway. After two three-hour drives, they're still firmly attached to the bracket on the dash of our truck and held the arms which held a phone and a radio the entire way with no drama. You'll pay more, but will you get more?My only recommendation to this vendor would be to consider a TPU overmold on the ball and perhaps a small amount of blue thread locking adhesive to ensure they don't work their way unscrewed. You can always add it yourself.

I was extremely impressed by these! Don't feel like you need to spend a ton of money on ball and socket mounts to get a rugged mount. The only difference I can find between these and RAM mounts are the lack of the rubber coating over the ball. The rubber aids in the gripping force and adds some friction. I have 4 of these types of mounts in my sxs, none of which are RAM brand. The ball on those are made just like this one and I have had 0 issues of those mounts moving. I highly recommend these!

These 1" mounts are comparable to any actual RAM mounts I currently use. I use these mounts all over the place. This set is well made and I would have no problem buying them again.
