Flexilight Black

Great little light to replace a similar but much larger one I had previously. First impressions are that it's a well made, simple product with thoughtful design. The light is activated by a slide switch on the back of the head and the LED bulb is positioned in a recess so it doesn't spread light around the whole room, just where you need it. The flexible body is designed to clip to a conventional paper book which I haven't tried but it works very well with my Kobo Touch ereader (very similar to Kindle) slotting in between the Kobo and it's case and bending into position beautifully without obscuring the screen. It's really quite bright (almost too bright in complete darkness) and the head is very flexible so you can direct it sideways also if you want to - I have used this facility to read in bed after dark without disturbing my wife too much. Although I've only used it for reading it occurs to me that with the poseable clip you could quite easily employ it as a task light perched in a top pocket or wedged into position to illuminate an awkward space and still leave hands free. I've made the typical male choice of the black option but the variety of colours on offer is a good idea to broaden the appeal to a wider audience.

The arm isn't long enough between where it attaches to the book and where the bulb is, so you end up either illuminating more of the room than you intend to or with some of the opposite page in shadow. The intensity of the light is just right however (which a lot of booklights get wrong somehow) and the light colour is also very good. Not a great booklight to use on a regular basis at home, but given how small and portable it is, I imagine it's great for travelling.

Fab clip for bookie night owls such as myself, clips on nice and easy, doesn't move about as much as I thought it would, even with my restless legs meaning I toss and turn a lot. Would have scored 5 but the light is so bright (which I personally don't mind) the other half complains endlessly about it (which I do mind); failing telling him to sleep in the spare room, I'm waiting for the light to dull down slightly over use!

If you are looking for a small & low brightness light to read with at night, that won't disturb your partner in bed, then this light is NOT for you. It is too bright & lit up the whole room, so I had to return it.

A very useful, and fun, addition to my reading kit. The flexiblity of the Book Light is just great: it allows you to attach it to any thickness of page(s) or cover and position it exactly as you want. The light is bright without being dazzling and makes a real difference to reading, even when sat in an already reasonably well-lit room. It's perfect for using on public transport, and especially on planes (I much prefer it to using the fixed reading light above your head, which can be to excessively bright and disturbs others too). Readers who don't have perfect eyesight will also really appreciate the clarity it brings to the page. Its capacity to double as a bookmark is nice touch too. I read *a lot* and since I bought the Book Light I've been wondering how I managed previously all these years!

Batteries were dead on arrival - had to go buy 2 new ones to put in. Otherwise, it's a great little light and does exactly what it says, now that it turns on :)

Flexilight provides very good reading light ( not too strong, not too weak; considering previous reviews; I was expecting something like a hand held spotlight) and quite useful at bed time readings. But as a bookmark it is quite chunky and it's not that light at all so I'll keep using my bookmarks for that. But it is quite useful to carry in your bagpack with you and feels solid in hand. Recomended.

Really good product, I didn't expect it to be so good. Exactly what I needed, it adapts perfectly well to any book, probably better to hardcovers than to paperbacks. Its flexibility allows different positions, it's not too big and not too small, very easy to be carried, perfect for travelling or reading at night. I'm very impressed!

Die Buchlampe wurde sehr schnell und unversehrt geliefert. Da ich oft abends auf der Couch oder im Bett lese habe ich nach einer Lösung gesucht, bei der ich das große Deckenlicht nicht zwingend benötige. Die LED macht sehr hell; blendet aber höchstens bei Hochglanzbildern. Die Streuung des Lichts ist nicht besonders groß, sodass zwar das Buch gut ausgeleuchtet ist, der Nachbar auf der Couch oder im Bett aber nicht geblendet wird.Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist das geringe Gewicht ; man spürt die Lampe kaum beim Lesen. Zudem ist sie schön flach und kann auch als Lesezeichen fungieren.Klare Empfehlung für alle Leseratten und Bücherwürmer, die auch mal abends in Bus und Bahn lesen wollen.

La verdad es que el producto es de buena calidad y muy útil como marcapáginas y lectura en zonas sin luz o con poca, pero para el uso que le quería dar yo no me es válido.Yo lo quería usar para leer a oscuras en la habitación sin molestar a mi pareja de cama pero la potencia de luz que emite el Led es excesiva, casi iluminando toda la habitación si no la apuntas muy hacia las páginas con lo que, en la primera prueba en la habitación, desperté a mi compañera de cama y la molesté.Como no puedo usarlo para mis necesidades, procedo a la devolución del producto.El envío fué dentro del plazo indicado por Amazon pero demasiados días de tardanza acostumbrado a uno o dos días con Amazon Premium.

Die Buchlampe ist sehr praktisch, handlich und sehr leicht, klemmt gut und ist flexibel. Das Licht ist zwar nicht zu schwach, aber die gesamte Fläche eines aufgeklappten Buches wird sehr schwach beleuchtet, je nach dem ob man die Lampe oben oder unten am Buch angklemmt, ist diese Fläche logischerweise am stärksten beleuchtet als die andere Fläche. Für den Zweck reicht reicht diese Lampe aber völlig aus.
