I have no problem with scented lipsticks but finding ones unscented are very hard. Not only are these unscented, they are also full of pigment.I bought the Summer Palace trio of 138, 139, & 140. The set comes in a magnetic-flapped box which is perfect for gift giving or just reusing for your jewelry or knick-knacks. Each lipstick is is housed in a magnetic case, easy to pull off the cap for arthritic hands yet they stay on when you put them in your purse.From the pictures, I couldn't wait to use them, so they are a bit smeared. They did come unused. I was just too excited and forgot to take pictures!The intricate design of the lipsticks makes it painful to even use. They are so beautiful!The colors are from the red family. 138 is a neutral rich red; 139 is a wine red; and 140 is a terracotta red.They may look dark but they aren't, they are just rich with pigment. These are lipsticks that deserve the most attention on your face, the focal point. With these lipsticks, a simple eye look of nude eyeshadow and mascara and a touch of soft blush completes the look.The texture is lightweight and matte. When you think matte, you may think drying but these aren't. By lightweight, think of the hip brand with the initials PM or ND. Even though those brands have pigmented lipsticks, they can feel dry and thick. Gorgeous true to color shades and lasts. That's saying something for me because my lips tend to be so dry and this stayed on and was comfortable. Beautiful shades, richly pigmented formula, definitely will purchase more of Catkin lipsticks.

The lipstick came in broken. But it’s a cute color and it’s pigmented and just cute. It slides on your lips super smooth and lasts for a while.

This lipstick is not only a beautiful color but the attention to detail on the case and the lipstick is outstanding. True to color, lasting color about 2-6 hours depending on drinking and eating. Overall I will be purchasing more of these. And a bonus the case is magnetic.

This is a quality product. A metal case, magnetized to stay closed. Packed inside a box with shrink wrap. The container itself is beautiful. The carving is lovely, but like a mandala drawn in sand, we know it can't last as we use it. Which is part of its beauty.The lipstick itself is really creamy, rich, the color not as dark as it seems in its tube. It really is as beautifully hazy and delicate on the lips as it is in the pictures. Only extend it as far as you must in order to use it. It's soft enough to break. If you want to just look at it, roll out the lipstick, but don't put it on that way. (It seems that some have not done this, and complain that it breaks. Of course it does, if it's extended all the way.)At any rate, for the money by far the best value I've had in a lipstick in a long time. So sick of cheap plastic lipstick cases.

The first time I ordered this lipstick # 129 the colour was amazing and exactly what I wanted. The second time I ordered the same # 129 the colour was completely different. Very upsetting.

The packaging, without a doubt, is absolutely stunning. The case is magnetized and shut very decisively and neatly. The art is enchanting and beautiful. The engraving on the lipstick is actually very, very cool. However, I wonder if the intricate design of the lipstick makes it more vulnerable to breakage because it was immediately upon opening. It jiggling around inside its casing and making a mess as it rolled around inside of it. I had to use extreme care when applying so it’s not to break it any further. Both lipstick showed up in this condition in this particular color.
