Small stones for fish.
Switched to gravel from our original sand setup and much prefer it as it's much easier to clean and the fish appear to prefer it too.It took a fair amount of washing. I can't remember exactly how long but it ran into days rather than hours. The initial wash was simply to remove the surface debris, I then left it to soak for around 24hrs and then rinsed it again. Another long stand was followed by a final rinse and then it was ready to go in... within minutes of it going in my tank was completely clouded but that was due to the filter choosing that exact moment to give up and die. Typical! With a new filter installed the water cleared within an hour or so and my little swimmers were transferred back into their new-look home. I've not had any complaints so far so must assume that they like it. They're all eating well so I'm taking that as a win. It's expensive, considering it's simply dug out of the ground and packed, and it's absolutely identical to the stuff already on our driveway, but nobody forced me to buy it. I probably wouldn't buy it again but mainly because I'm really tight rather than the product being rubbish.

Bought for my 60l aquarium - would buy again
Bit on the pricey side as all of these sort of products seem to be on amazon. However i am happy with the purchase after now having it for at least 3 months. Did take about 3-4 rinses to get most of the loose "dust" off hwoever once in the tank and filled up it looked pretty clear straight away.Bought 1 bag and had a small amount left over after generously filling a fluval flex with at least 2/3 inches.Colour looks good and all my fish are happy - doesn't look to sharp or aggressive even if you wanted to keep loaches etc.

Nice clean appearances in aquarium
Setting up a new 105 ltr for another tropical aquarium so I thought I’d buy the lighter gravel it was a quick deliver easy to clean and once rinsed very little clouding in tank when filling looks really nice clean I’ve bought another bag for when it’s time to change another tank

Wet and dry issue
Good quality gravel to be recommended. My only quibble and the reason for 3 stars rather than 5, is that although it does indeed appear "Natural Grey Mix" as described when dry, as soon as it's wet, it's actually very much a beige mix, so not what I had in mind for my fish tank at all. As this is sold specifically for putting in fish tanks, it would be helpful that the colour description was based on it's appearance when wet, not dry. Obviously I had cut open the packet and started to wash the gravel before this became apparent, so a return would have been problematic. The sellers description is fairly accurate in it's dry state, but definitely not once it's wet.

Not grey
Grey in the bag, grey while washing but under the tank lights it turned beige. On the plus side it's easy to wash so the tank didn't go cloudy. It took two bags to cover my 80x30cm tank. Would buy the brand again but not the colour

The cleanest aquarium substrate I ever bought!
Not only is this the cheapest gravel but I didnt even have to clean it, even on the first rinse it was totally clean! Looks great and no sharp edges so it shouldnt harm shrimp/ snails. Perfect product.
