Just in case you are unable to read the various parts of the product description which clearly state batteries are not included "BATTERIES ARE NOT INCLUDED". Those giving just 1-star should therefore be categorised in the "Can't Read" section and also the "Ignore my Grading" section as these folk are clearly lacking in some basic reading/comprehension abilities.Now, onto the product - Well, I've had it about 3 months now (along with the battery I bought separately as instructed) and I am very impressed. Good solid construction, battery (which I bought separately) keeps charge for quite some time (6 weeks and it's still going strong) and the beam is plenty powerful for everything I've needed so far.I bought this one for the car and, as I got 2 batteries, will buy another to keep around the house.Excellent product but, don't be a Muppet , buy the batteries, it makes the whole ownership experience so much better :-)

Doesn't come with a rechargeable battery as stated so flung in a drawer for the time being because it doesn't work. Will need to purchase a battery which will cost between 5/10 pounds. Not a good deal at all.

Okay this doesn’t come with a battery. But for the price i didn’t expect one. This is an excellent quality, sturdy torch. Super bright! It’s a good buy and worth four times the asking price. I remember the old halogen torches costing more than this and were rubbish.

Why would you want a rechargeable torch that doesn't come with batteries? they've clearly tried to make it look really cheap and then not provided you with the £6 each batteries so it doesn't work... rip off.
