- This tape is ideal for jointing soundproofing & insulation sheet materials. A strong yet mouldable seam can be created when joining acoustic flooring & wall products. This product has an aluminium thickness of 90 microns. This tape will strengthen underlay joints. These handy 25m rolls mean that you are left with less wastage. When sealing acoustic membranes & insulation boards - use this tape to create an air tight seal. The thickness of this tape will aid the reduction of sound transfer through the seams & joins. Where adjoining edges cannot be overlapped, make sure they are as close as possible before sealing with aluminium jointing tape. As this product also has great thermal properties, it works great when used with vapour barriers, foil faced insulation boards & bubble foil insulation. Sharp edges
It does it's job, but ten metres runs out very quickly. And this being a thin aluminum foil, it slices your fingers up when you use it. I ended in with cuts all over my hands. If you wear gloves it isn't easy to peel off the backing.
