HDMI to Serial Adaptor
I needed an adaptor to connect my laptop to a projector but my laptop does not have a serial port that could connect to the existing cable provided with the projector. This adaptor provided the means to connect directly to the HDMI port on the laptop then into the original projector cable. I note that some adaptors provide a second port to attach speakers. I did not need this facility for my purposes so this adaptor was fine. Not at all bulky, works as it should and provides screw threads to secure the connection.Extremely good value for the money.

Used on Xbox 1 to large pc monitor. Simply connected and it worked with no issues so far.

It worked fine, able to connect the HDMI on my laptop ...
It worked fine, able to connect the HDMI on my laptop to VGA on my analogue monitor. For reasons I don't understand a simple cable does not work.

Worked well but broken after 18 months
Does what it’s supposed to do. The only problem is lack of durability. After 18 months, it’s no longer working. The issue seems to be a loose connection where the cable part joins the box part.

Works As Advertised
Works are advertised. I use these to connect Raspberry Pi SBCs to older Dell monitors via VGA. Occasionally they fail but generally pretty good.

Simple and effective device for using a VGA monitor with a modern HDMI-only laptop or netbook. Converts a basic VGA-VGA cable to an HDMI-to-VGA adaptor cable. It even has blind screw holes to properly secure the VGA connector. The short flying lead makes it more robust than a rigid adaptor. Worked first time, no setup required.

Mis-leading title in Product listing with wording 'Apple' - does not actually work with Apple!
Annoyed with this - the product has the wording 'Apple' in the title, therefore I bought it for my macbook pro. It didn't work. I then went back and read the full description and at the bottom it states 'not compatible with Apple products'Why write the word 'Apple' in the title then!!!!Very mis-leading. not impressed at all.

Love it - gets HDMI output up onto an old VGA input monitor
Great piece of kit! Allows you to take an HDMI output from your new laptop/tablet (without a VGA socket) and connect it to your old monitor (that only has a VGA input). Makes old monitors useful again! Cheap as chips too.
