Waterproof Parking Assistance System (FST-H8)

FOUR MONTHS. That's how long this product lasted. I don't know about you but I can't afford to get ripped off buying crappy, no good products. I'm writing this review to WARN YOU in case you are considering purchasing this product DON'T.

Excellent definition video. Cons.... is the rear camera wiring length is to short. Need extension to that lead. Bought 2 and otherwise pleased.20 May 2018Grandson ordered an extention for rear camera and its not any good and need a replacement and since I didn't order don't have data to reorder. Please provide data so I can reorder. I bought 2 cameras but need the extention for my truck. Thank you. E-mail Mccallabb@cox.net Love the system.

i bought this & it worked upon testing it but 2 hours later it was dead

Works good but needs to have better instructions with. The Instructions are not too detailed for the product.

This is sturdy little screen with a reasonably good picture for the price. However, the installation instructions hard to interpret.

This product works really well great picture and really easy to install may need a little know how to hide the wires. I wish the instructions were a little better.

We added these to our work trucks for 5th wheel and goose neck look down cameras. Lots of searching and trying different units before we found these gems at great price on Amazon.

Installed it easily but after a week it stopped working so I put it in the truck

I bought this about 3 weeks ago and have been using it everyday since. Here are my observations.TWO CAMERAS:This dash cam unit replaces the rearview mirror in my car. It acts like a rearview mirror and at the same time as a screen to watch the dashcam footage. So, I like that 2-in-1 function. The front camera is towards the side and swivels a bit. So, it can be swiveled and adjusted for proper angle. I think the swiveling camera is the stabilizing feature to avoid blurry videos or images since the car is always moving and shaking. The dashcam screen is on the right side. The dashcam screen can be activated or deactivated. Also, the back camera footage can be activated or deactivated as necessary. I turn the back camera on when I need to reverse or reverse park. It really helps. The front and back cameras record videos separately and are stored separately. So, the video from each camera can be accessed separately. That is very helpful.TWO CONTROL MENUS:The normal controls are on the surface of the rearview mirror. The controls work great, but are not too sensitive. So, sometimes I have to press them twice to get them to work. However, that is not a dealbreaker for me. The other click control buttons are on one edge of the dashcam. These are easier to control and respond accurately each time.QUALITY:The manufacturer says the resolution is 1080p. I don't know if that is correct, but it is very high quality for a dashcam. I am very happy with the video and image quality.STORAGE FEATURE:The unit supports microSD card up to 32GB. I am using an 8GB one in my car, which gets filled in about a week. However, "loop recording" feature in the dashcam simply erases the older videos to record the latest videos. So, I don't have to worry about taking the card out and emptying it every time it gets full.RECHARGEABLE BATTERY:The unit has a built-in 500mAh rechargeable battery which recharges every time the car is on. The battery makes sure that the camera is turned on and records when the car is hit or shaken violently while it is parked. The built-in G-sensor senses this shaking and turns the camera on. It is a very useful feature.
