Not spill proof or even resistant. Or dishwasher safe
Love the colors and size of these cups. My kids were excited to get them and we even personalized them with name decals purchased off of Etsy. I have a yeti with a straw lid. The hole is in the middle of the lid- making the cup very spill resistant. These kids cup lids leave MUCH to be desired. The opening is a dual opening with a spot to sip out of or put a straw through. My kids spilled them all over themselves in the first five minutes. Eventually they will learn - but I wish the lid was more like my yeti or even my husbands Kleen Kanteen tumbler with straw lid. His has a silicone gasket for the straw hole (also in the middle of the lid) which makes his virtually leak proof. Come up with a better lid Simple goods and I will come up with more stars.Updated 12/18: paint is melting off from dishwasher. Only started putting these in the dishwasher when we abandoned the idea of having them for a long time as our boys travel cups. They have only ever been on the top rack and the paint is melting (for lack of a better word) right off. See pictures.

AMAZING!!!!!
I have 4 of these and I must say this is the most well thought out kids tumbler I’ve ever came across. Perfect size for my children ages 3-7 and the marbling on each is organic and different! Very durable after having these knocked and thrown all around the house. I love that the straw is made of silicone and will last a forever. The transparent lid is also a huge plus AND the “kids stuff” bag - BONUS!! Perfect for carrying small snacks and toys in your purse without the mess. I’ll admit i use these for myself sometimes to keep my drink cold on a long drive and it surely doesn’t the job. Will definitely purchase more to gift to others.

Happy. Serves their purpose.
I bought the plain stainless steel 8oz cup for my almost two year old. We’ve been using glass cups or bamboo cups with silicone lids. With the glass we have to watch her more intently and the stretch silicone lids she pulls the straw right out of it.Which brings me to the pro and cons of these cups.Pros:The 8oz is a perfect size, small enough for her little hands. The straw cannot be pulled out of the lidStainless steel making it durable to dropsCons:She can spill. Not just a little either, the whole contents of the cup can spill from the straw hole (bummer) but not enough that we won’t use them everyday. In the plus side, the seal from the lid to cup is fantastic, nothing spills from there; it’s a strong seal. They came with a black sharpie mark on the bottom of the cups, I’m not sure what that’s about but I found it strange.Overall, I really like these cups. They serve their purpose well. I’d love to find more cups where she can’t pull the straw out and have a little better leak proof situation but I’d consider buying these again if I can’t.

Awesome company, cup is basically indestructible
I received these cups and washed them right away. I immediately fell in love with how easy they were to wash. Why do all toddler cups have 100000 parts?? These are simple. I was bummed to find one cup fit neither lid I was sent. I emailed the company and got a quick response and they mailed me a cup a few days later. Awesome to stand by their product and it avoided me having to return the item! Thanks guys!On durability, these things are basically military grade. The first day my 16 month old was using this cup and he was so happy and cute lifting it. Enter a mood swing and I turned around to see him angrily throw the cup like a MLB player 10 feet from his high chair (why did I walk away to get that fork??). The cup hit the floor so hard our security alarm went off because they thought our back glass had been broken. Once I turned the alarm off and found i still had my hearing (barely) I checked the cup, expecting it to be dented or the lid shattered. It literally doesn’t even have a scratch. The lid didn’t even pop off. Of course the water began to flow out of the straw, but they’re not meant to be totally spill proof in that area. To get that you need a cup with a closed straw that is impossible to clean.Overall these cups are awesome and I can tell use of them will only get better with time as my toddler becomes more independent. I will likely get a second set because they’re just great to clean (traumatized by the weighted straw cups). Thanks Simple Goods, you’ve made this busy working mama happy!

Love these. Perfect for kids smoothies.
Instead of our smoothies melting or spilling, these keep them cold and unspilled for a long time in case the kids can't drink them fast enough. They're easier to clean than other cups we've used for smoothies because the lid keeps moisture in the cup, which MOSTLY prevents the contents from drying out (we do smoothies, so dried seeds on the walls usually suck to clean). You're not supposed to put them in dishwasher. I haven't yet, but I do put my other stainless cups in the dishwasher. I cannot report on the performance of these in one.Overall, they're pretty thin (less insulation) compared to bigger stainless vacuum cups, but that's just due to the size. That means my tumbler size cup and my 32 oz cup with bigger/better vacuum space between inner/outer walls will keep a smoothie frozen for longer than these, but how long do you NEED to keep a smoothie frozen???BUT I like them how they are. This is just an observation for readers.

Works for us.
The lid seal is leakproof, but obviously since it is a straw cup, it leaks out the straw hole when tipped. This isn't even an issue for me, because the cup stays at the table and I feel the lid contains the contents better than most regular straw cups. I purchased this cup because of the insulated stainless steel aspect. I needed something that would keep milk cold longer than a regular cup would. This fits the bill. I do put some ice cubes into the milk so I know if the milk is still cold enough to keep or not. Seems to hold temperature better than any plastic insulated sippy. The straw is a soft silicone. My kid chews on straws, so hopefully the straws last beyond the point where I need to use these as straw cups. The only downside is that (I think) they are hand-wash only as is with most stainless steel items, but I have 4 of these cups, so they get washed quick enough before we run out of clean cups.
