If your macbook battery has died, you'll have probably asked for quotes which will no doubt be super expensive. Doing it yourself is much cheaper, and if you're not much of a DIY electronics person, then it will take you 3 hours max if you're doing everything nice and slowly and carefully.Simply whip up a nice long youtube video, I'd recommend one where they do all the motions and you can follow along with every step and pause and play as you need. I'd recommend watching a quick summary video first so you have an idea of the total process first though. Removing the old battery is by far the most difficult part as it's really stuck on. BE AWARE that batteries can be dangerous. Do NOT simply tug as hard as you can to remove the old battery, because any damage to the battery can potentially cause it to set on fire or explode. I was a little bit careless at one point and the old battery started smoking. You must use the included cards to scrape away at the adhesive.This battery slots in nicely and has stickers for keeping the battery in place. The included screwdrivers are all that you will need, so it's a nice little set that has everything to get you going!Overall, I think it's a very good kit and is much cheaper than getting a shop to change the battery for you. Would highly recommend!

I got this for my a1706 MacBook which wouldn’t even last a few hours without dying unexpectedly. I was a little hesitant to try out this myself but after watching several videos I thought id give it a go. The first thing I will recommend doing is going out and purchasing a screwdriver set as the provided ones aren’t great. It’s nice they include them but they are not precise or strong enough to remove some of those tighter screws, you will just end up bolding them.The installation was surprisingly very easy and has cost a fraction of what it would do if I went to apple. As my warranty had run out I had nothing to lose and was confident it was achievable by the average person. Just watch the tutorials online and you will be fine. The battery was well constructed I was able to install it in a way where I did not have to remove too much. This was greatly time-saving. Replacing this battery is a very delicate operation and should not be attempted by anyone who isn’t confident.After I installed it, I did need to charge it for serval hours but now I have a laptop with a new lease of life. I am very happy with this as it has saved me a fortune. The capacity of the battery now allows me to get serval hours of heavy usage out of it. I cant comment on the longevity of it as its only been a couple of weeks but even if its lasts just a year I will be happy.Hope this review helps.
