Bought this sim card for a recent trip to Japan. I knew I'd be arriving at the airport late so figured it would be easier to get the SIM in advance and not have to worry about finding one in Japan the day after arrival.The SIM card included very easy to follow instructions (and a SIM tool) and the process was: a 5 minute online initial set up when I initially received the SIM; inserting the SIM card upon arrival in Japan; changing my phone settings to pull mobile data from the new SIM rather than my home SIM (due to having a dual SIM phone); turning on data roaming.Ensuing that my phone was pulling mobile data from the travel SIM before turning on roaming meant that I could be sure I wouldn't pay any roaming data charge from my home SIM provider.The SIM worked flawlessly with good network speeds in Japan for my whole trip. Recommended if you want to avoid buying a SIM in Japan when you arrive!(Phone: Samsung S22 Ultra)

In one word: AVOIDI purchased this SIM card for a last minute trip to Japan as Amazon was the only company that could guarantee delivery in advance of my departure date. I've previously used similar SIMs - although notably not this exact brand - and have never have any issues. However, this SIM turned out to be completely defunct. I registered everything per the instructions included, even contacting IT after approximately 48 hours of waiting for the SIM to kick in, to only be told that there was essentially nothing they could do to remedy the issue. In a country like Japan which does not readily have free Wifi, it is crucial to have access to data and this product fell extremely short of what it advertised. Also, I'll mention that the screenshots and photographs included in the instructions are not only tiny but also extremely blurry making them pretty hard to make out (the instructions already came folded like in the photographs).

You have to activate the SIM before you can use it (at least 24 hours before). It was super quick, super easy and good value for money. It came with a plastic sleeve the size of a credit card which was useful to store my current simcard in and not lose it. My partner opted for a pocket WiFi and spent alot of time needing to charge it and needing to be close to it although it is worth noting that he also used it to connect his laptop. The SIM card was super convenient for me and I would recommend. It also helps that I could use my WhatsApp and Line using this SIM.

Purchased this sim card to travel around Japan on the ship. Perfect signal even when when off sore but within visual contact with land. Easy to set up but it is worth knowing that not all phones are compatible with Japan. I was mega happy. Good contact with the seller. Highly recommend it.

Very easy to use, and there was no problem with my WhatsApp. My only fairly minor concern was that the SIM card made my phone think it was in Taiwan for some reason. I expect that the company behind the product is based in Taiwan. For example, Google maps kept bringing up results for Taiwan. It didn't make a serious difference, but was a minor irritation.

I used this on a cruise around Japan recently (Tokyo, Kobe, Hiroshima, Akita, Aomori and Hakodate). The signal was good throughout, even when excursions ventured an hour or so away from those city ports.Speed was more than acceptable for general browsing. Customer service was able to advise data used for confidence via WhatsApp. I was surprised I had to enable data roaming, but that was hardly a problem as it didn't incur further charges.At some points we tethered both of our iPads to my Android phone (with this in the second SIM slot) and my wife never complained about the speed when I was using Facebook.We also visited South Korea where, as advised, this didn't work.

I am in Japan right now. I did the registration two days before my arrival. I followed the instructions to set up the SIM card here in Japan almost one hour and still couldn't receive any signals. Waste of time. I hope I can claim refund.

Just returned from Japan and can report this product works. It arrived quickly and the instructions were clear enough. You just need to pre- register before you arrive. Took two minutes - you may need a magnifying lens to read all the codes on the Sim card!Once in Japan, popped it my Ipad and it worked after a restart.Fast and good connection seemingly everywhere.There may be others but I can only recommend this one

Inserted the sim and it did not work. After registered online (in my case I had to add the WHOLE Amazon order numbers, not the last digits as shown in instructions) finally it worked but you have to turn on roaming. We have used this sim in Tokyo and Mt. Fuji, signal is fine.

Customer service was helpful when it looks like for some reason the compatibility with my phone didn't work. My iPhone 13 is unlocked but when I insert this card, it required reactivation. Customer service was helpful in trying to figure out what was going on, but even after several email exchanges we couldn't make it work so they gave me a full refund.

I've ordered sim cards before and know the drill. Install -> activate -> use. Problem for this is when it comes to activation. I bought this 3 months ahead of my trip and was going online to pre-register it so that i don't have to do it later. Followed the steps then when i click to activate it says "Error: Sim Expired". Expired, how can something i haven't even used expire?So i e-mail the "business" which is a guy who's not very fluent in English my problem, "Says my sims expired, what's the deal?". I get a reply showing the me instructions how how to install which I've already gone though... Moral of the story: check the reviews and pay a little more to get a better product.Amazon says i can't get a refund or return and i haven't received a response in 3 days so i guess i just lit my money on fire.
