The starting point of this demanding tour - almost 33.5 miles in length and with 3570 ft in altitude - is the idyllically situated Bavarian village Bayrischzell, at 2615 ft above sea level. After 4.3 miles, on a gently ascending and well asphalted road, we reach the Ursprungpass (2795 ft). After a few hundred metres, we pass the Austrian border to Tyrol and on a scenic road downhill to Thiersee (2040 ft), with its beautifully situated, namesake, swimming lake. The way ahead leads us on a maximum ascent of up to 5 %, up to the Thierberg view point (696 m) and afterwards rapidly downhill to Kufstein (1581 ft), the world famous City on the river Inn. Via Kiefersfelden, Mühlbach and Oberaudorf, we continue approximately 6 miles, on an almost even stretch of road, to Auerbach (1581 ft). The Tatzelwurmstraße begins at the left-hand turn. The 9 mile long and perspiration causing climb up to Sudelfeldpass(at 3684 ft above sea level) also begins at the same point. Here, 3540 ft in altitude have to be overcome, with inclines of between 10 and 15 %. Enjoying a beautiful view, we subsequently ride downhill to Bayrischzell, the starting point of this beautiful tour. Distance: ca. 53 km Length: 102 Minutes
