After Years of Use and Freshly Ordered Backup
Epaderm Cream isn’t your average moisturiser—this is a dermatologist-developed emollient designed to soothe, protect, and maintain skin that’s prone to dryness, eczema, irritation or barrier breakdown. While it’s commonly used for general hydration, it’s surprisingly effective in more specific and stubborn conditions—including one I suffer from every summer: tiny, itchy, blister-like "bubbles" that crop up on the sides of my fingers or palms during hot, humid spells. If you’ve ever had these, you’ll know how annoying they are. These are often a form of dyshidrotic eczema (also called pompholyx)—little vesicles that feel prickly, sometimes itchy, and worsen with sweating, water exposure, or stress. What Epaderm does in these cases is simple but crucial: it creates a breathable yet protective barrier over vulnerable skin, preventing further evaporation, friction or environmental triggers from making things worse. The glycerine draws moisture into the skin while the paraffins trap it, calming inflammation and promoting healing without harsh chemicals or actives that could aggravate already sensitive areas. In my experience, applying Epaderm several times a day—especially after washing hands or using sanitiser—helps stop the blisters from progressing into cracks or weeping patches. It also reduces that burning-stretchy feeling skin gets when it's inflamed and dry at the same time. Used overnight under cotton gloves, the results can be even better by morning.Unlike heavier ointments (such as its sibling product Epaderm Ointment), the cream sinks in without making your hands greasy or sticky, making it more practical for daytime use—at work, on commutes, even just sat at the desk. It doesn’t sting, doesn’t clog, and doesn’t add any fragrance to already irritated areas.Keep a tube in your bathroom, bag, car, or nightstand—wherever you may need a fast-acting, non-greasy defence against dry, tight, itchy or flaking skin. I’ve just ordered a second to keep in my glovebox—because if you’ve ever stood in a queue trying not to scratch the back of your hand off in the heat, you’ll know the value of quick, cooling relief. In short: Epaderm Cream is more than a moisturiser. It’s a skin barrier repairer, heat rash preventer, eczema soother, and blister blocker. Especially during warm months, for anyone with dyshidrosis, contact dermatitis, or dry, reactive skin—it’s worth its weight in calm.

This cream really does work on dry skin
Fantastic cream for menopausal dry skin. I've been using the Epaderm ointment on my face which is also fantastic but can be a little greasy, this cream although smells old fashioned (it reminds me of my grandma) is a lot lighter than the ointment. I've been advised by my GP for sever dry skin to use the ointment and then apply the cream after. Sounds heavy going but worth a go. I purchased the small 50g cream which is a handy size for travel etc and a nice easy pump system.

Good cream - be careful not to stream!
The cream itself worked well on the areas where my skin was dry and itchy. The only slight drawback I found was in the dispenser. In a previous purchase, the internal coiled spring became separated from the housing and I was unable to put it back in its correct position. I also found it difficult to regulate the amount of cream being dispensed (even before the issue with the errant spring). There seemed to be almost no difference in the pressure required to cause a tiny apple pip-size amount to emerge from the nozzle and the amount of pressure that delivered a mega-stream of cream. However, despite finding the mechanics of the dispenser slightly quirky, I've purchased a second tub!

Epaderm
Brilliant stuff. It has cured my dry cracking peeling hands which I've had for years when all else has failed. It's a handy handbag size so it's easy to carry around and keep applying on the move.It absorbs into the skin without being greasy as most hand creams are.

Skin cream
Quality, you only need a small amount and it soaks in at light speed, if you have tattoos like me you'll not believe how it brings back the colour.

Cheap
Cheaper than cetraben which is why I tried it for my eczema flare up on friends recommendation (along with many other products) . However it didn't help much and smells like Crayola paints.
