A Great Accessory!
I really enjoy these in the one day that I've had them. I've paired these with my set of Shure SE315. The audio quality is definitely much higher than standard bluetooth, but certainly not the same fidelity of a cable. I'm planning on using these for podcasts, phone calls and listening to music while I fall asleep when I'm not critically listening. The other reviews mention a slight hissing, but I consider it pretty negligible. Anyone critically listening should be using a cable anyways. The strength of the magnet is not what I expected, however, I had them in for a few hours while in bed and rolling around and they stayed connected just fine. The only reason I'm not giving it a 5-star review is that adjusting the volume is a long press rather than a short press on the controller and I've already accidentally skipped tracks when trying to adjust the volume. What are the chances this could be adjusted with a firmware update?Long story short, I'm happy with the purchase and looking forward to continue using these.

The materials and build quality on this are great, more what I would expect for a device ...
First Impressions: The materials and build quality on this are great, more what I would expect for a device closer to $75. The necklace is a nice, sturdy cable with a woven nylon cover. The control dongle and battery pack are covered with matte-finish plastic and the buttons are glossy plastic. The wires are light with a very supple outer casing that doesn't snag or pull on the earpieces. They come with a nice case the size of a pack of cigarettes and a sturdy, short charging cable.Design: The design on these is a bit awkward, but it's comfortable and it works enough when wearing a jacket if you leave control dongle at the bottom hanging over the zipper. The earphone wires do not have memory wire, but just a thick plastic coating that tapers off as you move down the wire towards the neck. It works well enough to keep the shape. It's a little less comfortable than a perfectly tweaked memory wire but far less finicky and because the plastic springs back to shape you don't have to worry about carrying/wrapping them gingerly to prevent the wires from getting bent out of shape. To be honest I prefer these for this type of application. I haven't listened to them for more than few hours at a time and I imagine they would get uncomfortable after about 3-4 hours.I bought these instead of the $150 Westone cable. I have these hooked up to my Shure SE 425s. The fit isn't quite as snappy as the Shure cable, but is firm and snug. I am very impressed with the sound quality on these.Sound Quality: I am using these with a Samsung Galaxy S7 (with aptX). When I did an A/B comparison with the standard Shure cable, I definitely noticed a bit less volume through the HB1, but still plenty of headroom. Listening to a dense/loud song, the sound was definitely a bit more "compressed" sounding and had a little bit of drop off on the low and high-ends. There is som DSP as well, if you change the EQ settings on your player, you can hear the headphones take a second or two to adapt as well. I don't mind that at all--in fact I've found the DSP to be inconsequential at worst, and actually enhances the sound in some scenarios. When I tested with a particular dense album in FLAC the bluetooth cable definitely lost some of the 3D imaging, warmth and in general the mix sounded a bit less "roomy", like the sound was coming from a stereo set rather than the band playing around me. That said it was still impressive and blows other non-aptX blueetooth headsets that I've tried out of the water. When listening with 320kbps OGG on Spotify, the sound quality difference was almost negligible, and I would not be able to tell the difference in a blind test. The HB1 does color the sound a bit, but not in a bad way, and it actually paired very nicely with my mid-rich Shures and a bit of EQ. I was pleasantly surprised to note that there was no "shimmer" distortion in the high end and cymbals.Overall the sound quality is great and more than I could have asked for for the intended application (commuting and sports/exercise with Spotify 320 and the occasional FLAC)Battery: After listening for 2 hours a couple ticks below max volume the battery drains to about 50%. Less than ideal, but definitely an acceptable compromise acceptable for the price/size (plus the xcase can fit a small USB charger). Conclusion: Very good sound quality, excellent build quality. -1 Star for battery life and the less-than-elegant design.

Better than MEE, but not so reliable
The reception is good, but in a busy street, I sometimes get the signal interrupted. The control switches are better than other products that I've used, but changing volume is not easy. If you don't hold it long enough, it will just skip the the next or previous song.*** Update 2/13/2019 ***This set came with wire pre-bent to fit over your ears, but the material that surrounds the wiring is so rigid that the right side go through frequent signal loss. Basically, the wire is physically damaged. Now it loses signal on the right side even if I tilt my head even slightly. I do not think I can use this product anymore, after mere 2 months of use.

Way better than Shure's bluetooth cable.
Bought this bluetooth cable for me SE215's after I tried Shure's cable and found it to be sub-standard. These are the cable I was hoping for. Mic placement is better, and codec is aptx (which is significantly better than the sbc offering from Shure, especially if you want to connect to a 2015 Mac Book Pro). I occasionally have audio-quality issues (every minute or so of a video call, the audio sounds mechanized for a split second), but it's not a dealbreaker. Only two suggestions for a better product: Memory wire ear fittings would be nice (though these work fine and do not hurt my ears), and I would prefer to have the ability to connect to two devices at once, which is not currently supported. Overall, I'm satisfied with this product.
