I haven’t had any issues. I hand wash it after each use. Then I wipe it with a dry cloth and let it sit on my counter for several hours to air dry. I don’t immediately put the lid in a dark cabinet because I was afraid it would mold. Maybe you can try this method of cleaning the bamboo lid.
