This magnet had trouble holding a 3" - 1911 with eight rounds loaded, weight 31.20 oz. It was mounted under a table and would drop it from a side hang position to a drop hang position and would actually drop the weapon when the table was banged on. Too week for that purpose but, I did swap it out with one that was too strong and it worked better in that situation. That was to hold a 5" - 1911 with eight eight rounds loaded. Even then the weapon had to be mounted just right or it would try and slip off but I needed it weak for easy removal of the weapon. I suggest coated it with a couple of pieces of Gorilla Tape to prevent “SCRATCHING”.

In the description it claims that this magnet will hold after 35 lb, I have not found that to be accurate. I'm out of the magnet the place I wanted placed my gun on the magnet with a full clip of 10 for 9mm and it won't hold it in the position that I placed it. It's a gun is completely in line with the magnet standing vertically it holds it well even if you turn the magnet horizontally and try to place the gun the same direction the gun tilt do the heavier end of the gun which is the clip.

Simply perfect. I had low expectations for this magnet and it’s absolutely excellent. I installed this on the steering column of my car (despite having to use screws) and it answered all of my problems under the castle doctrine. Having quick access to firearm is essential to my peace of mind, and this magnet delivered. I ordered 3 more to install near my front door, beside my bed, and under my desk. Highly recommend.

This is a wonderful product. It's very small and fits anywhere. Holds a 38 special or a 9 mm with no problem. Releases gun easily. I'll be purchasing more for all vehicles and business. Easy to hid. Easy to install. Perfect gun holder, better than any holster!!

I had been looking at a few different gun magnet mounts and decided on this one because if the price plus prime shipping. I am extremely pleased with the product it came with everything needed to mount it and even included instructions for mounting. If you are looking for a flat gun magnet mount go with this one and save your self a few dollars.

I had a specific plan for the Quick Draw Magnet and it worked perfectly. At first I thought my "Judge" the heavy 5 shot revolver would be too heavy but it wasn't. I mounted the magnet on the side of my bed rail and there hangs the "Judge", right at my finger tips.

It surpassed what I thought it would be. I love in south Ga and our roads aren’t smooth at all. Especially the dirt roads. I installed it in my truck and attached my fully loaded 9 mm truck gun to it and went down some of the worst roads around and it never moved or shifted. I’m very impressed.

it's a magnet., mounting screws could be better. a little moisture and they flash rust
