5" Foldable Car TFT LCD Monitor Backup Camera License Plate Reverse Rear View Parking System Set (5 inch foldable)

The product works as advertised and so far is pretty good for the price. However, installation wasn't so easy mainly because the Installation Manual is a complete joke. I installed this on a 2014 F150 extended cab. Here's what the manual won't tell you: If you get an AV harness with a red lead on each end, the manufacturer (whoever that is) intended you to run power from the backup wiring harness to the monitor. That's in addition to wiring power to the backup camera. That might work, except that the wires on the backup light harness are VERY small. I found solderless connectors very unreliable, so I had to solder them after carefully stripping the very small backup light wires. Furthermore, the voltage at the rear of my truck was around 10 volts with the vehicle off, so the long run of wire provided even less voltage to the monitor. So, I had to run a separate power source to the monitor from the fuse box with an add-on circuit from NAPA (note, I originally ran power directly from the battery. It worked for a while, but was always inoperative the next day unless I unplugged and re-plugged the power. There must be a switch in the unit that cuts off the monitor if continuous power is run to the unit).Also, be advised that the rear camera frame can obscure the license plate tags and markings. In Virginia, that is illegal. I cut some of the frame off so the tags can be seen, but it still obscures some of the plate.Finally, the AV wire was too short for my truck so I had to add an extension. All in all it worked out, but had the manual explained in greater detail what to do, I could have saved myself hours of frustration. Hope this helps someone else out.

Keep in mind that this is a very inexpensive setup. As such, one would expect that the quality may not be the best. The camera was easy enough to install (fir a do-it-yourselfer). However, with the first wet snow, I found that moisture made its way into the camera obscuring the image. Otherwise it works well. The guide lines are not calibrated well at all. I can't use them to know how close I am to anything.The monitor didn't work, even though I set it up correctly. I contacted the company, and to their praise, they replaced the monitor right away, and I didn't have to send the defective one back. I appreciate their willingness to replace the unit.The second unit that they sent works fine. There was one issue. With the single digit temperatures that we just had, the image was all purple. Once it warmed up in the car, the image came back to full color. I may try getting a better camera to see if that will make things better.Other people have had much better experience than I. Perhaps it's the luck of the draw.

This was for an old Pontiac Vibe...my wife's car. I was having my mechanic do some "fix-its" and install the camera also. It was not easy smeezy...according to my very qualified mechanic group...soooo, let the buyer beware. Otherwise, the width of field of view could be wider. It's bright, folds down, will certainly help....and does the job when you backup.

Camera works great. Wires were a bit thin but used my own when connecting to fuse box. All in all a good product so far.

Tested it and found dead on arrival. I’ll update with what they say about replacing it.

Great product will buy again

Not what I expected. Waiting on refund. Will change to 5 star after.

It's been over a year and it still works. Its been sitting on my dash board over a year with the hot florida heat and its still running fine. Very impressed.

Camera and display are definitely worth the price, day and night images were good, didn't notice any glare issues. Installation was easy, shipping and delivery were great. Did notice the angle of camera was not as wide as I thought it would be.

I only use it for lining up a trailer ball and coupler. The camera requires adjustment depending on the ball drop.

Works good, but the camera don.t hold up, the picture is very dull after the first year,I got to buy another camera.

Returned it

what a piece of junk. It installed easy enough, as I am familiar with electronics. And it worked for about a month. Then it just stopped. I trouble shooted the problem and it just seems to be a failure in the head unit, shorting out the whole system. Removed it and shopping for something of better quality now.
