KD Full Bookcase Bed Complete with KD 6 Drawers

This bed was money well spent. It's very sturdy and has lots of storage space underneath the bed itself as well as the shelves and six drawers. It was not difficult to assemble as all pieces were numbered with a sticker though some numbers were printed on the pieces themselves. Overall this bed is well made and a great purchase ☺️.

It was a pain in the backside to put together. That's what my daughter said the whole time she was working on it anyway. I have to use a stool to get up on the bed itself cause I didn't realize I was so short anymore. It's very sturdy, very heavy, but very versatile in where I can place it in the room. The grandkid likes playing underneath of it too, so that's a good perk.

We took a change and ordered this bed from Amazon, it was the full size not twin. Space was an issue for us since we have an old house with small rooms. This bed fit just right. I was very impressed with the quality of the bed, real wood,( Pine), not MRWP( Manufacters Recycled Wood Products). nor is this pressed sawdust and particle board..... This bed is real wood....! It is very well constructed and fairly easy to put together, just time consuming. I used extra screws to fasten down all the bed slats instead of just the six screws that came with the install kit. The bed fit our Full Size Matress with no room to spare. The only reason I don't give the bed five stars is that the instructions were quite vague, with no written instructions just pictures of where the screws went. Otherwise I saved on paying sales tax, and no shipping fee because we have Prime. One of our local furniture store had this bed but in the darker Merlot color. Plus the price was almost $200.00 more plus delivery fee and sales tax. This bed was a real bargain going through Amazon. The wife and I are very happy with this purchase!

This is very nicely made and an excellent value for the money. It actually comes ALMOST fully assembled; while you could technically consider it "flat pack", there is not a single piece of particleboard in it, and all you really need to do is fit the sub-assemblies together. It ships as three sub-assemblies (the complete storage unit, complete headboard, and complete head end leg assembly), plus the side rails and mostly-complete footboard and a few miscellaneous parts. About the only thing that really requires more than normal care and attention is getting the passthrough door and its magnetic latch screwed into the footboard straight.You may scratch your head over a few things. The part labelled as a "height jig" isn't a jig. Its purpose won't be obvious, but just go ahead and install it anyway. It might take a little force to get it properly into place. It's actually supposed to provide a locating rail for the foot end of the storage unit, but the storage unit doesn't actually rest on it when all is said and done ... though it might if you're assembling it on a bare, not carpeted, floor. Don't ask me why they called it a jig, because I don't know. The word 'jig' has a specific meaning, and this ISN'T IT.For my taste, it is a little short on fasteners. Not that there's anything wrong with the fasteners provided; they are good quality and get the job done. But I ended up buying a few extra angle brackets and straps from the hardware store to attach the headboard to its support legs, and the storage unit to the frame, at a couple of additional points. If you follow suit, be careful about the length of the screws you use. You don't want them to break through the outer surface of the rails. You probably want to take all the drawers out of the storage unit frame before installing it, too.Also, an assembly tip that is not contained in the instruction sheet: When you install the slats, I strongly suggest that you screw down one or the other end slat as close to the end of the bed as you can, then STRETCH the slat array tight to screw down the other slat (there is a fair bit of stretch in the nylon webbing), then screw down the middle slat. You may also find you want to sand the top surfaces of some of the slats a little before you put them in. Some of them are a mite rough.Two Technical Thug thumbs up. This is one of the nicest pieces of assembly-required furniture I've seen.

Like the style. Esp like solid wood. It is complicated to assemble and the bookcases are small for my 12yr old's total collection.

It took me 4 days to put this together by myself. My hands were sore afterward. My son’s room is small so the drawers are a life saver. If you ever need to move it it’s easy to reverse. He loves it.

This bed is made from solid wood and while it does take some time to assemble, it is well worth that time for the finished product. The customer service is fantastic. I reached out and received a real person’s response. Not only that, but the pieces fit well together and the sanding job on the wood is great! Very smooth and no splinters AT ALL! The hatch door at the foot of the bed is great and there’s plenty of room for a small “fort” under the bed!!!It is beautiful to boot! I highly recommend this bed. Our daughter can’t wait to get a great night’s sleep on it.

We bought this for a child's bedroom that has minimal storage. Putting the bed together took a long time, in part because not all of the pre-drilled holes lined up as they should have. There were no pilot holes for many of the screws. The fasteners for the frame itself were like nothing I've ever seen bofore. The last fastener in the assembly process didn't fit at all. We were four boxes of parts and many hours into the project so we finally substituted bolts from a toddler bed we were replacing. It worked and the bed frame looked nice and appears sturdy enough. Then we started on box 5 of parts, the drawers. Almost immediately, we noticed worse quality wood and more alignment problems. Got the frame for the drawers together and started to build the drawers. The fastener into which the bolts went pulled out of the wood entirely. I tried another drawer, bring very careful not to overtighten it. The sides pulled loose immediately. A friend who's an expert at fixing things and his son, a cabinet maker, came to our rescue. After several hours, a brad gun, and a great deal of wood glue we have functional drawers, but I would never again buy anything from this company.
