Great Outdoor 2.4 Wireless AP, Don't be afraid to buy this.
Purchased this and it fired right up without any major hassle.I purchased this to repeater my 2.4G connection in my house to my barn and provide access within the all metal barn. (Internet Connectivity and Connection for Security Cameras)House is about 75 feet away from the house and AP that is being repeated is in the center of the house. The signal has to travel through 4 thick walls, brick/metal-insulated garage door.Signal from the original AP in house, outside of the barn is ok, but not great. When go inside of the barn the signal is completely lost.I installed this new device really sloppy on the outside of barn, not even aimed at the house and the signal strength is amazing. I go inside the barn all doors closed, basically behind the front facing antennas and the signal inside the barn is extremely strong.I was streaming full HD videos as well as streaming Pandora inside the barn with no delays or drops. My experience with this device has been very positive! For those who want to know more, it came with the power injector (the device you need for POE to work) and it also has a connection for plan old power. It does not come with cat-5 (Ethernet) cables those you need to provide yourself if you plan on using POE.There are some settings that might be confusing for some, but take your time. This is definitely not a non-technical friendly device, but for the moderately technically inclined, you will be able to get it working. The basic key areas for me were these: (not technical, you can look that up in the product description)> Does it have a strong signal, one to connect to the AP I wanted to repeat and two to provide as an AP> Is it stable and not constantly dropping packets and connection.> Is it outdoor rated.I will have to wait to see how it holds up to the Texas Sun next summer. So far though I have been very pleased. If you are on the fence, don't be. The price is right and the product is good.I did try a different vendor's AP (Wavlink High Power N300) that I thought might work before buying this one. It was unstable, dropped packets, and was unable to provide a reliable connection. I spent over 4 hours playing with it and settings. In the end I gave up and shipped it back. I wasted more time than I needed too, should have just bough this one! This vendor and model works great. Don't be afraid to buy this.

Great unit if you are able to set up. Little to no support
These AP work well. Have used in multiple type application from point to point t to point to multiple. The web interface is not the most streamlined. Also it is difficult to find any support information online with set up and troubleshooting. WDS connection only allow for up to 4 WDS connections/AP. I would recommend only if you are familiar with setting up wireless distribution system.

Couldn't config as repeater
Nice design, good price. Followed instructions for repeater setup, it found and connected to the SSID, but wouldn't set up the WAN connection. WAN light never came on and ipconfig shows the gateway is not defined. Tried reset to factory defaults. Tried on two diff networks, same prob. I have successfully installed repeaters of two diff brands before on these same networks, those work fine. Also, tried connecting to the product via wifi per the instructions, wouldn't work, though ethernet worked. Returning...

This device would not transmit a good signal more than 20 feet in a highly wired and industrial area. I believe the reviewers who had success with long distances where located in rural or suburban areas with little interference. Still trying to find a better and cost effective solution to transmit wifi further, ~200 feet.Setup can be frustrating depending on what you are trying to have it do. Instructions could be much better. It is built well and is a clean design that can be mounted safely outdoors.

Useless, no support
We cannot figure out how to set this unit up. We followed the English instructions without success and the detailed manual is in Chinese. We have emailed twice since receiving this two days ago with no response from "24/7" tech support. As such, we will have to return the unit since we cannot use it.

Pretty good. Decent signal broadcast distance and speed
Works great as some wifi signal in the back yard. Was a bit confusing to configure at first. But I got it all together.I especially like that the unit comes with a POE injector, so that you only have to run a single Ethernet cable to the unit, and not have to worry about the power cord or needing a receptacle near the instillation location.

The interface is written in poor grammar, making an already convoluted setup nearly impossible
Absolute trash. The interface is written in poor grammar, making an already convoluted setup nearly impossible. After a WEEK of trying different random configurations, I managed to get it working enough to discover that it drops all connections every 4 or 5 minutes. Returned to Amazon, bought another brand - setup took 5 minutes and it works perfectly.

Yes it works, but the setup was not easy.
Setup was quite tricky. Instructions are not very user friendly. We had to do a lot of trial-and-error over the course of many hours until we were finally able to get it to work. Ultimately we were able to use this device to grab the wifi signal from the house and send it to the metal shop if the small shop door is open. We were getting no signal at all previously, so I'll take that was a win.
