I doubt this is the fault of the manufacturer in India, but the the company in Houston who imports this stuff, or the company in California who distributes this stuff or Amazon needs to know : the contents leached through the protective aluminum seal on the opening of the jar and there was a LOT of scum between the foil and the underside of the screw on top. As if that weren't enough, the sticker states manufactured on 7-28-2014 (!), expires on 7-27-2016 (!) yet there is another sticker stating the contents are best before 6-10-19 (!!!!). I have posted 2 pictures of the bottle. Sorry to leave a bad review because maybe the contents are delicious but it seems as if this bottle was stored upside down.

Strong chemical smell
Arrived on time but have a strange chemical smell. Even after putting other spice u can still smell n taste the chemicals.

Cap was shattered and opened
Just got this product and the cap was shattered and the plastic lid underneath was opened, even though it was under a bubble wrap!

Actually used this for a recipe to clean up your arteries. I thought it would be easier then blending/grinding the ginger and garlic. It does save time, but might just do it myself next time. It's very aromatic and seems fresh. It was packaged well and received it in perfect condition.

Can be used for non-Asian cuisines
This is a product of India although the 5 red stars on the label might evoke the People's Republic of China. The combination of garlic and ginger is much used in Indian cuisine. But many Western recipes also use both garlic and ginger. This product's flavor is not pungent nor aggressive. It is so mild that I add horseradish or cayenne (paprika is also commonly added in Indian cuisine, but I don't think it's strong enough). For marinating meat, I "strengthen" the impact with garam masala or other quite strongly flavored spices. It can be used in any recipe that calls for garlic.

Tasty!
Hard to imagine curry without this stuff. The color is right. I've chopped up enough ginger and garlic to appreciate that. I'll be buying more, as I have the opportunity. That's the best recommendation I can give, that I'll want more.

VERY Tasty!
I've been using bottled minced garlic, but didn't really like the flavor. I noticed a lot of restaurants serve a butter-garlic dipping sauce, so thought I'd try the same only use garlic paste instead of the minced garlic. SUCCESS! It was absolutely delicious. I also decided to use the same sauce for dipping artichokes. YEP, another SUCCESS! Try it - you'll like it!

Fantastic and easy.
Are use this to build the stuffing for my cabbage rolls. This added just the right amount of ginger and garlic to the onions when I was cooking them up to get ready to add the pork and the ground beef. It turned out fantastic I couldn’t be more happy I will never go back to the old way of chopping up garlic and ginger again.
