"The Cape" is a peninsula which makes up the easternmost portion of Massachusetts. In the 17th century the designation Cape Cod applied only to the tip of the peninsula, essentially present-day Provincetown. I hand drew this map from a 1950s geological map of the area. The drawing was created into a relief plate which was then used to make prints on an old fashioned letterpress. The shorelines of each map are then painted with watercolor. This map is printed in a limited edition. Unframed. Paper size: 12 x 16" (fits in a standard frame) Each is signed dated and numbered. Ships flat nestled between two pieces of cardboard in a firm mailer, cello sleeve, via USPS priority mail. 2015 Quail Lane Press. All rights reserved.
