Good item at much lower cost than other brands.
Really good code reader. Did have to add my car via the USB cable but no big issue.

Easy to use
Good clear display that's easy to use, regretfully most of the available options do not work on the vehicle I had.Other than that I can read and delete the error code , which is my main aim.The software supplied is not the best, but promises lifetime updates, time will tell on this point.

This is great for finding fault codes on any make of car
The media could not be loaded. This is great for finding out fault codes on any make and model of car (providing it has diagnostics port which all modern cars have) it’s really easy to use with very good clear and simple to follow instructions and very minimal buttons it’s made well and is rechargeable too its great for finding out what’s faulty with you car before taking it to the garage for repair so you know exactly what to expect and that way your already one step ahead it also is a brilliant bit of kit if your buying used cars because you can take this with you to check the car for sale for any known faults on the cars computer so it could save you buying a complete money pit its a really great tool to have for car owner or buyer and I would strongly recommend buying one for the small price it could save you big in the longer term highly recommended

Do not buy this cheap junk
I purchased this item to reset airbag light in our car but after many tries I gave up, because this device was unable to scan any code. Not even engine light. Cheap is cheap but waste of time and money.

Decent functionality
If you know how to use it, good. I used it didn't know how to fix it, so had to return it.KNOW HOW TO FIX, NO POINT JUST BUYING

Not for diagnosing.
Considering the price, a really good and fairly basic device. Bear in mind it is not strictly a diagnostic tool. It's a trouble code reader, eraser and "live" data viewer.Easy to update by visiting Topdon website and downloading the latest firmware April 2022 is the one that was available at the time of writing this. My Win 10 did disply a warning about downloading the update tool.Long, flexible cable and useful l.e.d. light incorporated into the plug. My car's OBD port is buried deep under the dash! No reference in the instructions about replacing the battery for the light. Probably a button cell and accessible by removing the small screws on the plug?Edited to add that there are two CR1220 cells in the plug. Without encouraging anyone to replace them, when necessary, they are easy to access with care. Doing so will probably invalidate any warranty though.Recommended for slightly more than very basic use.

Found the issue I was trying to fix
I was getting an intermittent engine management light on my 2009 Nissan Primastar 2.0 dci, which would flicker when driving along but never stayed on.Used a Bluetooth reader and apps but nothing was coming up so had no idea what was causing the fault.Tried this unit and at first it didn't find anything, so decided to leave it plugged in when driving and if the light came on I would pull over and safely run a scan.Ideally the light came on so pulled over, and straight away it pulled up a P0340 code. This was just a camshaft sensor so a £20 part and easy to replace, so saved me a few quid in getting the garage to run their diagnostic at £50 a time. The only thing with this tool is it doesn't show historical codes, so will only show codes when EML is on constantly, or (in the case like mine when the light is intermittent) if you plug in and scan before turning the engine off. But I guess that's a feature of more expensive units.Easy to use and runs very quick, glad I have it in my glove box
