Sparks and smoke and now a Dead computer
i have built quite a few computers over the years so i know how to assemble a computer with that in mind i bought this for a friend who wanted to try out m.2 ssd we first made sure the power was and the computer was unplugged and was placed on anti static mat we were wearing anti static wrist bands then we proceed to mount the m.2 ssd to it and install it correctly after it was plugged in we made sure we didnt unplugged anything by accident so after checking everything we plugged it back in powered it up and as soon as we did there was sparks and smoke coming from this adapter this adapter is very faulty do not buy i advise anyone whos looking at adding m.2 ssd is to save up just little bit more and buy a motherboard with a built in m.2 slot will be thankful in end and your wallet will thank you too because this little adapter once it sparked it fried a $900 computer so again just buy a motherboard with an on board m.2 slot there some here on amazon for around $60

Works as advertised
Works great with my Samsung 960 EVO 250gb SS, However you might need to install some drivers and jump some hoops trying to get Windows to recognize a PCI-E drive

Would buy again.
Very well built. Have had no problems with this, I'm using a Samsung EVO 256gb M.2.

Works great and after modding my motherboard's BIOS I was able to boot from the drive installed in this riser. I'm sure if I had a newer motherboard it would boot normally but I had to mod mine since it is older and technically doesn't support booting from PCIE/NVME. I also like how it looks.

Five Stars
Works as advertised. The provided screws are a bit small, but with a little finesse they do the trick.

I would highly recommend this for anyone that wants to run an SSD over PCIe. Installing Windows 10 was very easy, but I can't speak to installing any other versions of Windows.
